I casually said “Lol” while speaking and people were somehow blown away by it. I was wondering, how do you pronounce it, or do you just use “haha?”

It is weird how so many people were blown away by the fact I said “lol.” It didn’t seem too out of the ordinary.
How do you pronounce lol?

I pronounce it “lol,” rhyming with “Bowl.”

Usually say “L-O-L”, one letter at a time.

Although, I don’t say it out loud.

I almost always use lol but when I use it it's because I actually laughed

Though sometimes I say the letters just to be funny :p

I guess I'm different because I read it as "laugh out loud". I try to never say it out loud since I don't consider it normal.

I pronounce LOL as rhyming it with "bowl" but for LMAO I spell it out...

I just use it in my texts but not IRL talking, I just laugh. If I had to pronounce it, it'll be like "L-O-L".

I mean, most of the time, I would just laugh normally, but I do occasionally say "lawl", usually when I'm making a really sarcastic joke.

With the letters, that’s how you’re supposed to.

usually when i think of "lol" i see it like this
L-Lucifer
O-our
L-Lord

and i say it accordingly

i say each letter. personally i think its kinda weird/corny when people pronounce it like a word

When I see it typed I read it as L-O-L since it's an abbreviation. I've never said it irl. I just laugh normally if something's funny.

Never used it in speech (please don't), but when I read it my mind says "lawl", and for some reason it glosses over lmao very quickly like "lmayo". Sometimes I do use "haha", when I feel like "lol" might be a bit too much depending on the context. Can't say it's something I've ever really thought about until now... I definitely switch between the two but I'm not sure what prompts me to use one over the other sometimes. There was a period where I didn't use "lol" at all, I thought it sounded stupid. Then at some point I came to terms with it and decided it's a sometimes a better fit than a dry "haha".

I just laugh when something's funny. I'd hope someone would slap me if I ever used an internet acronym in my daily spoken vernacular.

I don't mind saying lol online but irl... god no I wouldn't even.

That’s the only internet acronym I ever found myself saying in person. I never look down on myself for it, and just wanted to see more opinions on the fact. :)
