Never used it in speech (please don't), but when I read it my mind says "lawl", and for some reason it glosses over lmao very quickly like "lmayo". Sometimes I do use "haha", when I feel like "lol" might be a bit too much depending on the context. Can't say it's something I've ever really thought about until now... I definitely switch between the two but I'm not sure what prompts me to use one over the other sometimes. There was a period where I didn't use "lol" at all, I thought it sounded stupid. Then at some point I came to terms with it and decided it's a sometimes a better fit than a dry "haha".
That’s the only internet acronym I ever found myself saying in person. I never look down on myself for it, and just wanted to see more opinions on the fact.
