for those of you who have reset your island and/or have more than one switch and copy of new horizons, how many islands do you have/have you had in total?

i’ve only had one island (axolotl), which is the island i started up on release day over three years ago! i would love to have a second island one day and have even thought about buying a second switch lite for it, but i figured it wouldn’t be the best financial decision— especially since i barely load up the one island i have now 🤣

Since unfortunately ineed to buy 2 switches i only have one island 🥲 , which is super sad and unfair to be crystal honest with you.

I mean they could have added the feature that in case you wanted a seco a second island you had to pay like an extra, like a in game monetized extra feature.

I am just sour that i von only have 1 island especially since and in my opinion they are so small 😩

I have two. I bought a used switch light because I didn't want to restart my beloved island.

I have two islands total. Bilby Isle is my original island, where I feel that most of the island is complete, and I’m not really looking to change any villagers at this stage. I started a second island (it feels like ages ago?), called Foreaux. I started it on my second Switch because I didn’t want to wipe my original island. 🥺💜 The second island is still very much a work in progress, that I haven’t been working on. 🫥

I just have my one island from launch! I have thought about making a new island if I do get a new upgraded switch but I could never restart this one from 2020.

Just one, and it's mine from launch.

I thought about restarting when I got back into the game.

Then I remembered how annoying getting Easter DIYs was.

one, from when the game launched

I honestly can't imagine going through all the obscene amount of work again. work that even 3 years later, I'm still not done with. all the more power to those that can and do, I guess

Just the one from the very beginning, after so many years I'm too attached to have another!

one, the island i have had since the games release. when i eventually get a new switch i will probably create another one when i have some motivation but can’t imagine restarting this one.

I’m on my second. I restarted a year and a half ago because I had run out of space to build stuff and didn’t like how it looked anymore. I’m tempted to restart again tbh because the island hopping for villagers and initial figuring it out phase is my favourite part of the game. My current island has a lot of finished builds and I can’t really do anything except walk around. wish there was more to do.

I've only ever had this one island since the game launched back in 2020. That said, I've considered getting a second Switch and a second copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons for a few reasons. My main reason for being interested in a second Switch is to be able to trade Pokémon between my Pokémon games without having to bother friends. As it pertains to Animal Crossing New Horizons though, I have an idea for what a second island could be themed and designed around and there are a few villagers that I want to experience who I either couldn't fit on my island or didn't fit my island's theme closely enough, such as Marlo and Petri. Considering the rumblings of there potentially being either a new Switch or a new console entirely coming next year, though, I don't know whether I'll actually bother.

I have two switch lites . My first has my original launch day island Serenity .I haven’t been playing that one recently but I will never reset that island. My second one I had that island Jurai for almost a year before I reset it. Now I have Crescent and don’t plan on restarting this one.

2 but not through choice.. I didn’t realise you had to have both switches to transfer your island so I had already sold my old switch and it was too late😢

I'm on my first and only island! I don't plan on making any more or resetting my current island because it seems like a lot of work... and I'm also too attached to my current one even though I still need to work on it more!

I think it was 4 on nh. Not at once but through deleting or data corruption.
Mostly because of transferring to another console.
But after all the updates and stuff they added to the game, I don't recommend anyone to ever start over on nh. There is a lot there now that takes time to unlock and complete to reach other things.

Just two, which is more than I'd have liked to have lol. I started the game on launch day, but 2 months later I found that I was pretty unhappy with my island and didn't like the vibes and overall direction I was going in. I spent a month prepping to reset and stored all my items on like 5 of my friends islands (still so grateful for their time and patience skfdgkf). I feel like most people who restart wouldn't have been as meticulous as I was, bc the hoarder in me could just not let go of most things LOL. Although my current island isn't close to being done, I enjoy it way more, along with the lore I've established, ik it's definitely a keeper. 🥺
