I prefer to do most of my shopping online, but occasionally the orders don’t look as they appear online or they don’t fit as nicely (size- and style-wise) as I’d like them to. So sometimes I end up returning my purchase.

How often do you return your store purchases or online orders?

I'm a very much 'just roll with it' person. I try to make do with whatever happens. The less of a big deal I make over something typically the better I feel.

I think I'm lucky in the regard that I haven't had many faulty purchases. When they do happen I just bite down and get a new one instead.

The only items I return are books, and I usually return them if I really didn't like the book. That only happens sometimes. Or if I'm too shy to return them, I donate the books I'd return to the library.

i return anything that doesnt fit, isnt as described, doesnt work etc. i dont hesitate to return anything tbh.

I've only ever done it once, which was very recently. I never return them out of sheer laziness, but I've become tight on money. There are some expensive orders that ended up breaking down just weeks after use, which I honestly which I returned while I had the 30 days to do it.

It's so annoying to return stuff so i try to be extra sure about my purchase before i buy stuff online. I think I've had only a handful of returns in my entire life and it was mostly for size issues.

i have a few brands i trust with my life so i almost never have to do returns (for love & lemons...) but if i ever dont like something yeah it's going back. gotta get it out of my sight asap

I very rarely shop online specifically so I don't have to return things. And I never buy clothes online because I'm very particular about fit, style, whether or not it has big enough pockets🙄 even the feel of the fabric or other things, w/e. If I can get it in a store near me I prefer that so I can see, touch and thoroughly inspect it. I'm not shy about returning things but I'd rather spend that time elsewhere.

Basically never. But I don't tend to buy things online unless I know that I want them. I only buy clothes in person, with the exception of maybe asking for a fun hoodie or something for Christmas--and those are forgiving in size. Most clothes do not fit me well.

Trying to think of what else I buy online. Gifts for my parents and my partner for birthdays or Christmas? Those wouldn't really need to be returned, as we usually make lists beforehand. I collect animal tracking bracelets and periodically buy a new one, but that is inexpensive and again, no reason to return it.

Oh! The one exception was shoes about a year ago. I desperately needed new shoes after wearing the same two pairs daily for about six years. I have weird feet (small but wide) and it's very hard to find shoes that fit. I also have sensory issues and hate the way most shoes feel; I tend to prefer minimalist shoes with very little on the bottom. I went to shoe store after shoe store, but they all had the same few brands and nothing else. Eventually I bought a few online after extensive research, tried them on at home, and returned the two I didn't like. It was exhausting and terrible but I did end up with one new pair of shoes.

Ooo to be honest I dont think I've ever had to return an item 🤔 Mostly because the stuff I buy are cheap anyway, so if it doesn't last long it's probably because they were cheap in the first place. I bought a new pair of earbuds before but they were so cheap that they only lasted a week and I was like, well that's what I get for buying a knockoff item 😅

My mom also buys clothes online, and when the outfits don't fit her, she gives them to me. Majority of times the clothes fit me since I have a smaller body that she does. She recently gave me a pair of heels and two pairs of cargo pants that didn't fit her, and I was so happy because they fit me lol. Free clothes are free clothes, I'll take 'em c:

I do if the item is faulty, or like if I discover that food is spoiled after I buy it, but that's pretty much it. If it's because I didn't read something clearly, or I just don't like it after I get it, I generally just accept the consequences LOL

very rarely - generally buy clothes from stores I've bought from numerous times before so quite used to the sizes now and am often restrained when shopping anyway so only try and buy what I think I'll actually like for a while, which is pretty helpful for avoiding returns cause honestly think I'd be too lazy to return items often.

I've ever returned one game back to amazon when I didn't enjoy the game and because it costed a good amount of money to buy, so no point in keeping it lol

rarely return stuff that i buy online. i'll return clothes if they are too big or too small, if the item doesn't fit the way i thought it would or if something that i thought was cool in the picture online doesn't suit me when i'm wearing it

I just make sure I buy the right thing. It's an inconvenience to have to ship it back. If it's broken I leave negative feedback...should have shipped it better

I do not return my online or in store purchases as I always check to see more about the product.

Plus I spend forever checking that it isn't damaged before I buy it 😅

I rarely shop online (and when I do, it's from a company/seller I trust and I'm 99% sure I'll be happy with what I'm ordering - and I usually always am!), so I haven't had to return something I've bought online in years. I end up having to return stuff I've bought in-person a little more often, but not by much, and it's usually clothes.

I normally always try on clothes before I buy them just to make sure they're comfy, I like how I look in them etc, but sometimes I don't and I find out I don't like what I bought when I get home. Or sometimes I buy something that's too big/small on me, but I don't fully return the item when that happens; I just exchange it for one in a smaller/bigger size.

I'm very careful and thorough with my purchases, both online and in-person, and it saves me the hassle of having to return stuff later (most of the time).

I usually don't return unless something is wrong with it or it is vastly different than what it was suppose to be.
I try to look on YouTube for reviews/unboxings if I feel unsure about what I'm looking at before ordering and that helps alot. I also read product reviews below the product posting.

I only do returns if the item I bought is either defective or broken and cannot be used. If I accidentally bought the wrong thing, I’ll go back to the store to make and exchange and pay the amount of the item if the one I am exchanging was lower in price. Cosmetic defects or flaws I can deal with but if something I bought is shattered to pieces when I open it, it’s going back. I recently had to get a refund for this N64 wireless controller I bought on eBay because it wouldn’t connect to my Switch like it was supposed to. The seller was really nice about the situation and gave me a full refund when I explained the issue and told me not to worry about sending it back.
