My parents never really cared about it to be honest, there was never an age where I wasn't "allowed", but I think it's because I only ever had little crushes, they never developed into anything more. I've only dated one person, but that's it. It's not something that I seek, it's just something I'll accept if it comes to me and I'm happy with it. And by now it's my choice to date or not, not my parents choice.
I'm 22 and I still haven't been on a date. The first date I go on I'm treating her somewhere super special. I hope she has some Chuck E. Cheese coupons ready
My parents probably wouldn't want me to have a boyfriend even though I'm 16. I'm very attracted to someone at school though. If they asked me out I'd totally say yes.
i never really had any rules about dating, but i wasn't big on relationships anyway. i dated people but i only had my first real bf at 19, and even then i wasn't really bothered about the whole thing lmao
I'm still "not allowed" to date lmao my mom's always said not to date until after college and my dad... it's either never or not until I'm 30
But honestly if I find someone before then I don't think they'd scold me or anything if I told them about it, but I'm not sure they'd know what to do either since my older brother doesn't even seem to go near that stuff
im unsure if i had a set age bc i was never very interested. i dated someone for like 4 days once in 6th grade, then i tried to date a friend because i thought i liked them but i really didnt, no harm no foul.
The first real boyfriend I had was in Grade 10, before then I had some elementary/online boyfriends but they never lasted too long. I asked my mom in grade 6 if I could start dating, she said yes, there was no set limit to it though.
My family never talked about when I could date. It was just assumed as late as possible. When I got my first actual bf in high school I never straight up told them we were dating and eventually they just got it and were fine with it.
When I was growing up I was a total tomboy and not into dating at all. My parents knew this. They didn't set an age limit for me because I was a late bloomer and didn't even want to date anyone until I was almost 18.
My sister, on the other hand, wanted to date before she was 10 and my parents joked that she couldn't date until she was married.
My parents joked about not dating until we were 26, but they haven't actually set any rules. I'm not really interested in dating anyone anyway. It's too much commitment.
