how much stuff is on it doesn't change the battery life  th ebattery isn't in any way hooked up to the harddrive.Bulerias said:No, I meant that the amount of content on it affects battery life... I said you must have a lot, since the battery life is advertised to be 20 hours.JJRamone2 said:oh how much it can hold? Oh yeah thats like a week of music! I thought you ment the battery life! Yeah also I have the30 gig one.Bulerias said:Oooh, you must have a lot of content on it... I've heard that the 30 gig, the one I'm getting, can get up to 20 hours with music...JJRamone2 said:yeah about 3-4 hours.Bulerias said:3 HOURS?!? 0_OJJRamone2 said:The battery with backlight off is a few hours maby 3 at most. Also the charge up from maby less than half battery is about 11 hours if at near empty bettery it can be up to a day. Also when your iPod is plugges in it cannot be used there is a big image that comes up that sais "Don't Disconnect" so from iTunes you can go diconnect and leave the charger in and you can use it while it charges but if you do that iTunes can't read it so you can't add files. while it's in that stateBulerias said:Thanks for the info.JJRamone2 said:I have the same one you are getting i've had it for a while Ill give you a list:
Pros:
it's beautiful, Video Podcasts, giant screen, great backlight, lots of space, charges while plugged into computer(good and bad thing) great sounds quality, sound limiter, lots of updates, light, good battery when backlight is off, it's awesome.
Cons:Low battery when backlight is on, easily scratchable(huge problem), can only be charged when plugged into computer unless you get an adapter, scroll wheel is too sensitive sometimes, 60 gig one is too big. Thats really it.
Its a good buy and glitches get fixed with updates (through download or CD that comes with it) it's definatley worth it. SO I hope you enjoy it!
Also just so you know the only videos in accepts are MP4 files you can download them in that format from iTunes store, google videos, and sometimes for flash movies: Newgrounds, but there are converters like Videora
^_^
I knew about the pros and cons, so I bought a protector thing for the whole IPod. As for the adaptor, my computer is on for long periods of time, so I'll just leave the IPod charging once it's on.
Oh, and how's the battery when the backlight is off, and how long does a charge-up take?
Thanks for the format converter, too.
What if you're just playing music straight?
