Not even close to being done 😭
I have the general terraforming done, it's just a matter of actually filling the spaces in, but there's so many different things I want to do and so little design slots that it feels a little overwhelming and limiting ;;

It's been 2 and a half years since I got the game, I've played for 1300+ hours, and yet I have nothing done.

The terraforming is completed enough for me now, but I still want to rearrange my flowers on my island before I deem my island to be complete.

I had also wanted to do a zen garden of some sort where I would have all the rocks in one area, but that takes way more planning that I have the brain power to do right now ^^;;

I still need to do a lot of work to get my ideal set up. I have the farm crops and orchard sections set up and want to eventually move my crops to a different location where I can set it up more symmetrically and closer to the orchard and plant a few more pumpkins. Then I need to start working on the bamboo zen garden with a waterfall and a small amusement park area with a couple of the rides and stall decorations. And then I need to set up a small section just for flowers.

No and I feel like it never truly will be. I have "competed" it and changed the decorations many time. It's fun to do as my own interests change

Well as of right now I have officially finished my current island and now have just started my new one. I have been putting it off but I think it’s time while I have the new ideas in my mind.

My island is lost on another switch so I'm going to have to make a new one. It saddens me but at least I'll try to make an even better one than before.

I'm never really satisfied with it, so it'll never be done, haha. I'd like to move everything to the beach, flatten it, and redo the whole thing. I design an area, i like it, but after a while I'm like mehhh...I dunno, i could change that..

I don’t think I’ll ever be completely done since I get a new idea once in a while or feel something needs to be spruced up and will go tear a part of my island down to redo it 🫣

but it’s mostly done and I’m pretty happy with how most of it looks!

Nope. My previously finished island was wiped when I transferred Switches and now I’m working on my second island. Even with time traveling it’s still taking me ages.

My island may seem like it at first, what with the 5 stars and all that, but it's not complete, and it will never be completed for another few years. I've got a long way to ago before I finish my island.

I have a theme and some basic areas in mind, but my island is still flattened and covered in balloon-catching jail bars. I joke that it should have been named Alcatraz, lol. So... I'm 0% done :p In my defense, my island is not a launch-day island, and I want to get some diy sets (I have the cherry blossom set, but *looks at maple leaf and mushroom sets* I have a long way to go.) before I start because they're very important to building certain areas on my island. Idk how complete I want to get this game (the idea of every item and every variation being cataloged sounds.... daunting and also maybe not worth my time, considering there are some items I have no interest in.)

I suspect it'll be years before it gets to a place I consider "complete," if I ever get there at all. I'm still hoarding weeds to plant all over my island once that happens, though. I have to strategically place as many as can grow to full size, and then just litter the rest of the map with stage 1 weeds- they're so cute! The little clover ones, the grass blade ones... how can they be weeds, really?

I don't know if I'll ever have a "complete island" tbh because of how little I play these days but there are areas that I'm satisfied with and there are areas that I want to change. I have ideas that idk where to put them and I have spaces that idk what to do with. I just have fun doing what I feel like, when I feel like it and maybe someday I'll have an island that I'm completely satisfied with but I very specifically want (and am planning) areas that I can change and play around with so in that sense it will never be "complete" but I'm ok with that.

It's getting there bit by bit, but not yet. I've never really completed a town before, and am currently focused more on New Leaf, so time will tell if I get back to my island often enough to finish it.

I have been close to done on some of my other islands. Just restarted though, so no where near currently haha. It’s so hard to resist the resetting urge when it comes on. Hopefully this time I can actually finish my island! I would love to get to a point where I just go on the game and fish and catch bugs on a completed island😄

Yes, my island is decorated head to toe. There's one part of the island I want to rework but I don't know what to remake it into so I just consider it done.

my island has been here since release day, and has gone through 4 diff themes (on my fourth currently). i’ve flattened it 3 times trying to change the layout and theme. i’m currently happy with what i have now, and it’s about halfway done ^^

nope! i don't think i'll ever have a "completed" island. i don't tend to have big plans for my islands in general... i just play when i feel like it, decorate when the mood hits (and never very much or very often), etc! i think i might consider my island complete once there's no new features to unlock, like brewster's cafe haha
