Wow more art! I'm on a roll.

I made this (eventually want to take/post better pics tomorrow when I have natrual sunlight) a bit ago, the was my first time ever doing water coloured pencils. Even thou the lavenders aren't -maybe?- blended right, I like how they look. I also drew a Succulent-like plant that resembles a fake one I bought today. Now I also want to get into more traditional artsy stuff.

For more practice, I am currently taking requests for simple plants to do as watercolour. Besides the two I mentioned above, I also did a cherry blossom tree (not very well thou I admit, not pictured in post) and a sunset (also not pictured, I accidently messed up the colour arranging).

I need to figure out how to add a splash of colour in the back too.

Look-e what I found-e.

This was my first time doing birds eye view, and honeslty I like how the face came out. For my first time I wasn't terrible at it. This is all the way back from June 4th, 2016.

This reminds me I need to find an old drawing to do a redraw of. But when I find old art, it wasn't even for improvement, it was all just what I wanted to draw :/ Maybe I can improve aspects of the old drawings?

More art! I was practicing some watercolours last night (does it count as watercolour if I just diluted regular paint, haha) but waited till this morning to post them so I could use natrual sunlight to capture them. They're a bit iffy, esp the grape one (yeah those are supposed to be grapes) but overall I like how they came out. It has definitely taught me somethin, like, don't have so much watercolour in the brush, otherwise the paint could run. Which is what happened with the grapes. Lesson learned.

I tries to use different materials as well, like my inking pens for the sunset dandelion, a white crayon for the really pastel almost muted 'Dream' card, different paint brush sizes and used water coloured pencils for the compass, then tried to blend the colours with just water. I think later today I'll hang them up on my wall along with my other drawings.

Very pretty art, I love your sketches and your watercolor paintings! I've never really dabbled with watercolor/paint or most traditional mediums besides colored pencils and markers but these are very neat, I especially like your grape painting, the colors pop and are very pretty (maybe because I love purple, magenta, and lavender most!) Regardless, I hope you had fun experimenting and playing with different materials and techniques!

Oh man, it's been too long. I kinda lost all motivation to draw over the past month. Not sure if it's cause I work alot more now. Probably is. Anyway, I did make this little plant arrangement today to hang above my bed.

For a while I was waiting for the tea light candles to arrive. To my surprise, it was scented, I really bought them for the colour and to have tea lights. It smells really nice too, and according to the package they stay lit for 4-6 hours. I had no intention of lighting one, but they came in a pack of 12 so maybe I will.

Hey guess what, IM BACK.

It's been literally forever but I did make some stuff in the time I wasn't here. As well as dabbling in new techniques, looking up more sources for refs and new mediums, I made some new stuff.

I did Toby with some alchohol markers, somethin I never used before. This was rather quick so it's not as refined as it could be. Also I later learned a blender doesn't do CRUD, which is to explain why his feet and hands have that bleed effect to them. Oops. There's more but I can't post it in this comment right now.

I was waiting to post this until after nominations for staff favs have been announced in the Old School AC Art Contest. This was my submission to the contest, a little gamecube *inspired* villager (gotta have then horned hats amirite?) looking up to a night sky. The constellations form mostly retired NPCs, Gulliver in his space gear from WW, Farley from the original GameCube, Serena from CF and Resetti who appears in multiple games as a hard hat wearing mole (except possibly in NH). The constellations are a reference to WW and the villager is dressed as my default villager from WW as well.

Because I was quite busy with work the week I made it, I didn't have enough time to make revisions of it nor make it look better, which I think was my ultimate downfall. However I still really love the concept and will def try to do this drawing again, but better. Maybe not with paint since I have little experience in it, but at the time I needed a medium that could fill a page quickly.

Love this! Love the colours and mood! So nostalgic! ❤️

Thanks! In order to get inspired for the Old School week I played a bit of WW since it was the quickest to start up, oiginally I wanted to do somethin CF inspired. But I got hit with that NOSTALGIA when I heard Rover say 'Nintendo' in the beginning and visiting Celsete in her observatory. And dang I was super into making constellations, like my sky is filled with some pretty good ones. So I had to make some constellation art, it was one of my most fav things to do back in WW.

I used to really love making the constellations too! Was never very good at it though lol
I did my art themed around Gulliver's UFO spaceship ... I could never manage to get my slingshot out and shoot him down ... I planned my routes and tried when he made his 2nd fly over too but just was too slow or clumsy i guess ...
here is my art ... I called it ?What the animal crossing city folk mayor and villages found on the beach?

I guess I will post this on the art thread too although I’m shy about it

Oh magnifique! (*▽*∩)

Well would ya lookie here, a digital piece, completed and signed.

I prob messed up on the colours since I wasn't lookin at a ref. I actually wanted to do a full body but I couldn't manage it, so I went with a head icon. I understand some of the tools and layers alot better now. According to the playback this took me about 54 minutes to do, which sounds about right, that's usually how long it takes me to do somethin 'simple'. I have zero idea how to shade so yeah not gonna touch that quite yet.

I made this on my phone using the ibis Paint X app. It's free and if you watch an ad, you get access to more crazy brushes. I think there is a paid version but this is pretty great itself for a beginner like me.

Also I have been toying with the idea of opening my art shop -or atleast a better version of it- to earn some tbt when I have alot of time off of work and will prob offer this as something to do since people seem to prefer digital alot more over traditional. The majority would still be traditional art thou, since I have -shocker- more skill in that. Plus with digital I would have to get the sizing right.

Omg look it's a bunny.

I was messing with brushes and found out somethin unpleasant. When you make the canvas smaller, it makes the brushes less smooth and makes them more pixely. I wanted a fuzzy brush so I did that first but found out THEY ALL LOOK FUZZY when you shrink the canvas to 100x100 from the original (my previous drawing) whopping 4thousand somethingx4thousand somethin.

Edit: Hm, doesn't look half bad thou when it's uploaded and posted alot smaller.

Art! I joined a new discord server and while talking to the other members I got really inspired to make art. This came from a challenge of 'make art in colours you don't like'. I don't like using green cause shading and icky, but I made a lime cat. And, I like him. I think he's cute. This was a very quick sketch but still. I think I'll develop on him more in the morning, it's late here.

I made more art today. Surprisingly more then normal. But here is my most recent experiment, a digital shaded peach from Animal Crossing.
Animal Crossing Peach2.png
I use blur as my shade tool, even thou it acts funny sometimes. I don't think blur was the intended shading tool but smudge is much worse. Even thou I can find little flaws with this, I am happy with how it came out, I'd say it's pretty good for an amateur artist and a complete noob at digital.

Well life sure was hectic these past few weeks. I wasn't able to get anything really done with my life, esp any complete presentable art pieces. I've done sketches and concept art thou.

Recently I got into pastels (shout-out to ali.di.magix) and I'm loving them. This is my second piece so far (the first I messed up), a pansy.
tumblr_q2d2pjVTAx1ywd2oeo1_1280.jpg

Already I've gotten better at blending and I'm learning more about pastels (like oil and soft don't blend well together. Or, at all really). I used more tools with this one and actually sketched out my design before hand with a sketching pencil. I'm actually proud of this one, somethin I haven't had been with my art in a long time. Once I rearrange my room I'm going to hang it up c:

Don't let the darkness consume you...

I'm quite happy with this one. This was actually a little sketch I did, messing with my shar-peis, white pastel chalk pencil, white gel pen and my gold pen and marker. The lines are blurred cause I used my pilot pen instead of my sakura micron pens like I should have, but I really like how it is. I did like zero planning (as my sketches go) I just drew and thought 'what if I did this?' and 'what if I did that?' I did some digital edits as well, somethin I don't normally do and unfamiliar with, but I like how those came out as well.
