Ginkgo Korok​

This is a top tier korok drawing I may never top myself at drawing a korok this good lookin again.

Thou I might try. I want to do a mini series of different Koroks, but like each one actually looks more like a plant, esp if it's found somewhere with really neat plants, like Luerlin Village.

Kinda feels like for months keeping up this art thread is only for me. Getting zero interactions and constantly getting bumped down makes me not want to even bother posting here anymore :/

I don't normally post my WIPS here anymore, but I'm tryin somethin totally new here.

Anyone maybe got any tips for what I have so far? I haven't drawn human bodies before that are anatomically correct (thou this will still end up in my drawy style) nor have I ever drawn MUSCLES at all before.

Honestly considering this is my first time I'm surprised it doesn't look bad It actually looks pretty decent (to me). I do need to fix the other arm (the one not flexing) to look a bit more muscular. I need to look up another ref.

Not entirely sure how to colour this since it's not totally my typical cartoony style. But I really like how it's comin out so far in terms of pose and muscle and such.

It’s great you’re studying anatomy!! I’m still studying anatomy till this day and it’s still a work in progress haha but you’ve got a solid start so far! I wrote some tips that I (sometimes ) use in my own work, so maybe it’ll help you too to get started albeit Im far from understanding the topic, so take it with a grain of salt!

Oh snap thanks for the tips! I do need to study muscles+bones+anatomy more, I only have like a veeeeery basic understanding of how some muscles work/connect.

There is actually a third ref I used which is how I got that pose, but it has my face so I didn't post it. I took a picture of my body and 'traced' some stuff like arms, hips, face, eyes, where my 'centerline' is cause I was doing 3/4 view, ect...

The arm flexing ref I used for the arm cause I needed to see the muscles flex and the girl I used cause I wanted some softer abs and I needed a sports bra ref.

Now that the Secret Santas have been posted, I can show off my drawing in my art dump!

This year I did art for Yanrimasart. I noticed they like to draw their characters with fantasy medieval type clothes, so I did Lily with some fantasy inspired clothing ^^ I really like how this one came out, I tried looking up various types of outfits that would still suit Lily but Google didn't give me much to work off of.

I'm also getting better at selecting what brushes I should use. Many brushes doesn't always mean good. The pencil brush also suits my drawing style better, it's very easy to blend colours together, and I do like to add some ombré gradient to my art.

I made another OC villager! This is Squishy aren't I so creative with names and their catchphrase is 'sluggy'. I based this villager off of a bunny sea slug, hence the ears with no middle, the black speckles and spikey tail.
