I got bumped off of page one of this board, and I simply can not let that happen

I still can't see so more digital for me. I think I'm getting better, I'm using the tools more. So here's Mayor Marisol from Luminosa Resort. I used her ref from Pocket Camp even thou she's from New Leaf. Who knows, maybe I'll put her in New Horizons?

Some sketches drawing myself as a villagersona. In my soul, I feel like I'm a cat. I don't see myself as anythin else. Still deciding on the little details like expressions, eye shape and such. I'm def an uchi thou.

Sidenote: wouldn't it be awesome if the villagers could bend their ears based on emotion like real cats?

Bumping this months old thread with no new art, but it's not called JP's Gallery for nothing.

I found myself really bored and with a headache so I finally tried to actually crochet for the first time. I've done chain stitches before but nothing more than that. Well, this was my outcome.

It's hard to see, but it's literally just a chain stitch. I attempted a single stitch but with the big size of the yarn, it's fuzziness and that fact that I'm a beginner, my single stitch didn't come out so well. I undid the single stitch and left it as a chain stitch. My sister said it reminds her of a worm on a string, so I'm gonna somehow sew eyes onto it to make it official.

I still have more fluffy yarn that I want to make scarves out of, so I'm gonna see if I can somehow make a scarf out of knots I already know, like the square knot.

Your island rep is perfect for practice, I need to practice drawing longer hair, I'll try to get on it later today.

Also for my job, I had quit a while ago cause I knew that place was not doing the right thing when it came to the safety of its employees regarding positive cases of COVID. The department next to the one I worked got a positive case, and the company did not take care of it well. I ended up getting sick with somethin, but it was bad enough that I had to call out two days in a row, somethin I had never done before. Someone else in the department I worked in also got a positive case and the company didn't do jack**** about it, literally. I'm better now but I'm also so glad I quit when I did. Atm I'm actually seeing about gettin another job and I've already spoke to the owner of the business. If all goes well on my training day then I can get a job there.

Also awesome! I knew from the first time you talked about how awful that place was thag it just wasn't for you. Really glad to hear you were able to get out of there! Hopefully you can land that new (better) job!

I'm actually really happy with how this has turned out do far, I'm afraid painting will ruin it.

Any guesses on what it is? Here's a hint, it's from LoZ: Breath of the Wild.

LOOK WHAT I DID! I'm really lovin how this one came out, it's an anatomical heart with gold veins. The gold veins were inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold. If you look up Kintsugi it's really beautiful so I wanted to do somethin similar. Plus, I love using mettalics.

I really like how the pencil shading in the tubes came out, I think pencil art is more of my strong suit rather than all the other art mediums I use. I'm going to have to buy a frame for it since all the ones I have now don't fit a full 8x11 page, but once I do find somewhere to hang it, it's going to be somewhere bright so I can see the gold shine.

It's a pretty flower. I messed up with the pencil lines cause I did the outline days ago, didn't know how to colour it then left. I came back and decided to do pastels, so I made my pencils lines too hard. But I still really like the way it came out, esp the shading in the colours (there's 3 different colours in the petals). Soft pastels are so easy to blend with that I actually feel like I don't suck at it compared to other art mediums like paint and watercolour.

Anyway here's somethin for a personal-ish kinda thing I did, I painted the backside of a roof shingle. It's sloppy but shingles are kinda hard to paint, also I'm not good at painting. But I still like it.

I've been burned out from Animal Crossing for quite a while now, so I've been playing Breath of the Wild in the meantime. I really like the weird glowy owl rabbit called blupees, and I even made a transparent version my new avatar.

I made myself a new signature for the Signature Stylings Event (that I'll never see cause I'm always on mobile & landscape mode is a pain).

It's based off of the famous 'The Starry Night' painting, but with a nightmare-ish twist. I think I still need to work on it cause I forgot the stars. But I like how it looks so far.

Ginseng has long pale blonde hair with green eyes and typically wears denim overalls or a white sundress, tortoise specs from NL and a straw boater. I don't have a proper ref sheet for her, just ingame screenshots.
