I'm also legit worry of Epona being town read so fast. Last time that was our doom and me being a cop and town locking The Godfather (Epona) So don't discard that she is super good at blending in.
Hi! Yep, I agree that they seem pretty sus with the way they were talking, and admitted to talking about the setup being a low hanging fruit kinda sounded like an excuse

i appreciate your concern and also echo it, but for different reasons. a few people have been townreading me with no real decent basis considering how early the game is (glow and bianca come to mind but i think someone else has also placed me as a townlean) and if y'all get me NKd early in the game for being a strong townie voice i'll be annoyed LOL
that said, i wouldn't waste too much time doing comparisons between my playstyles bc i am, in general, quite an objective and rational person and i think i play similarly both as scum and as town
Aetherious’s conversation and suggestion of role claiming also is strange, but I’m inclined to think it’s townie bleed because if you are cognizant enough to know what rc is, then you’re cognizant enough to know not to talk about it and why would a mafia say anything like that so early
i understand that one of them is extremely new, not certain about sensei, but this just seems like people are playing in the shadows. we're working together to try and develop a strategy, makes me wonder exactly why people aren't entirely on board. i'm also suspicious of people who've piggybacked on answers instead of coming up with their own suspicions and explaining why. this seems like a more methodical approach to ensure we're not voting for town to be eliminated
rn i'm leaning with shawo being inno. i agreed that discussion is important. this game could be town- or scum-sided depending on which roles we have for town. let me clarify, i don't think we rc now, but i think it's good to prep for possibilities and people rcing later in the game. we also have no clue what the maf is made up of; worst case scenario, there's 3 ninjas and town has watchers/trackers. getting setup down/the understanding of how many maf we're facing is going to provide a decent foundation for later days and easier to ensure that we're picking off mafia for bad claims. i disagree that it's low-hanging fruit, i found it pretty useful to gain an understanding of what we're up against
I also worry about Epona after watching her blend in last game... The Godfather thing didn’t help lol
but also a detective shouldn’t be so obvious after only one night read anyway but I couldn’t say that as a host lol

Lynch gummy bro day 1 - lol
also @Aerious I never suggested you did say we should rc but I can see why you would think that based on my posts.... let me explain better
I think by just bringing up the idea of RC it can lead to someone just role claiming... which is why I wanted that convo to stop there
I also stand by I don’t think it’s scum aligning. Rather bleeds town because why would a scum even talk about it early day 1, I feel like newbie (or returning after a long time) players would not be thinking along like that... they’d be more preoccupied with staying under the radar

If they were scum*

And I would be more sus if people who post once and then dip, if that didn’t bite us in the butt so many other times. Like there are gonna be so many who either post once or never post during day 1... if we eliminate one of them, it doesn’t really give us any information to go off of... vs. if we lynch shawo (this is just an example calm down) then that could give us more information because a lot of us have given our input on him

I never clicked edit!!! Wtf I’m sorry I didn’t change anything on my post!

i think you bring a fair point on Sensai. They're a brit so I wasn't expecting them to be present last night, but now that it's afternoon for them, I'm curious on Sensai's comments since I think enough has happened to provide insight. Frogslime and Ferarily haven't given any thoughts yet so I'm looking forward to what they have to say
I don't see how important talking about the actual power roles in the game is yet. It's not helpful until we get a flip that would give us insight on that. I think talking about how many scum there are is slightly more helpful than talking about powers, but it's a topic that is easy to talk about where you can post random conjecture without posting any thoughts on players at all. If you take away the talk of setup, I don't see much pro town substance from Shawo yet

it's not yet, but shawo's contribution to number of maf has been helpful. but it also makes me wonder, would mafia be inclined to throw people off about number? why did radical6 change the rules to 2kp after his discussion?

i can the point here, but personally I don't agree with the philosophy, I think the best thing for us to do D1 is have town find each other and use PoE to tell who isn't actively participating yet. By setting a bar of engagement, it'll force scum to have to post more and get tangled up in their lies
so i'm not unopposed to your thoughts on a shawo wagon, but I think voting coasters to get everyone to engage is valuable

i don't think maf is inclined to lie or tell the truth. i don't think the talk comes off as town or scum. But I don't like how he didn't want to continue talking about setup and just said "I'll end the discussion here" as if he has control, yet didn't bring up other points to talk about
host said they were talking to Geo about setup and changed it. don't think we should go deeper than that

If I'm gonna be honest I haven't been super motivated, which is my own issue I have to deal with.
I'm not sure what my initial thoughts are tbh. It's all kinda gone right over my head and I'm still trying to process things. I'm not sure I like the attitude and tone coming from shawo though. Maybe I'm over my head
I'm gonna feel far less confident about my shawo wagon if so many people come in and jump on it though
also in response to @Damniel, I think its gonna be hard to have "town find town" when you have the potential for so many people who are portraying not-town behavior to still be town. I also don't know if i agree that voting an inactive will wake up other inactives to be more motivated to talk... I just don't feel like history shows that that works

sorry, it’s just constructive criticism. You know next time to play more lowkey if you are a detective, we all make mistakes in mafia... lord knows I have and people consistently point them out. So don’t worry about it, it’s all in the past now anyway.
dw, you actually weren't that obvious, i just picked up on it bc i was the one you inspected. a lot of people didn't notice til i pointed it out so i could use it to my advantage!!! it was just unlucky, and don't let it discourage you in this game
