mailbox expansions: at 2d upgrade, can u sell back the 1st expansion?

yes, i accumulate mail and am lazy about clearing it out!

i bought one expansion. if i buy a larger one, can i return/get refund on the 1st one? or would i be stuck with an unused expansion?

I don't think you can return it or get back some TBT for it as far as I'm concerned. As far as I'm aware, there's no buyback system in the shop currently in place, and all of the mailboxes (except for the small mailbox) are ungiftable, so you can't really sell it in the TBT Marketplace for anything in return for it.

If you buy a smaller mailbox and then buy a larger one with greater capacity, the smaller one becomes an aesthetic, ungiftable collectible with no purpose.

(I might be wrong though; I only have the small mailbox.)

The first expansion you can sell to someone on tbt by gifting it.

whoops- checked the shop details. i bought "mailbox" which says it is not giftable. i hadnt noticed the buyback price of zero bells, so i guess yo ucant trade it in for credit on another expansion.

the small mailbox says it is giftable, but like everything useful at this website it seems, that item is "sold out." maybe to make things more annoying for the users? not sure what purpose served there...

If it's the small mailbox that you want to get TBT back from, you could try selling it in the TBT Marketplace then. If I didn't already have one, I would buy it from you now! Good luck~
