Impo:

I think these tests can help you learn about yourself a little bit, but I think that is as far as it goes. Some of the questions that are supposedly about personality could actually be effected by the health of a person. And personalities can change based on certain illnesses and life changing experiences. Also, there are natural personality changes from simple growing up and aging, though slight.
As for work places requiring personality tests, I've seen it multiple times and honestly I hate them and wish they were illegal.
1. People could give answers they think a workplace wants/looking for and get hired anyway making it pointless.
2. Allows discrimination of certain kinds of personalities and systematically isolate them from a monetary system used to survive. Personalities are something that is supposedly the core of a person. This kinda categorizes them like items impo instead of viewing them as human beings worthy of some sort of respect and care. Also in the long run participates in eugenics. Leading to more racism later.
3. People can operate differently in a work environment vs daily personal life because survival, again making the test pointless.

Again, just personal opinion.

I always get a different answer whenever I take those tests. That’s why I don’t think that they are completely reliable. The only part they’ve ever got right is that I’m an introvert. However, anyone can probably guess that about me within 10 minutes of observation.

Out of the types that I’ve been labeled as I relate to ISTJ the most.
