I went back and checked, and weirdly this is true? Sheep is fairly committal on the elim though, which is a + imo, but what's weird is that I think that might've been happening in lieu of trying to get a read on the more active players?

I actually only think you are town because I understand the way you've gotten your reads. Which is also why I was defending myself to you. While direct, I don't think the process you used to get reads looked like you were pushing an agenda. -> Especially since you seemed fairly committal about them. I'm not willing to commit to a town!Sidney because you still do make posts that I tend to dislike, but I think your reads have been more telling about your alignment than anything else.

Genuinely, I was just being honest about my issues with d1 but the explanation of how you got to that argument and then reversed it pushes me more towards townreading you; could see how that would be suspicious

All right, probably not much help but this is what i see:

Shawo- I'm reading shawo as town lean ish. I realize how it looks with the push for shawo/betsy team (town team, sure), but I think shawo is following the same pushing techniques as in the other game we were in. I'm confused with why sidney reads the sidney maf/discuss as anything other than a tactic to generate activity at that time. Also confused as to why sidney keeps referring to it as a betsy/shawo convo when it was several people asking/answering if we HAD to vote questions. (I understand tunneling, but maybe go back to take a look at that entire conversation). Dunno....seems shawo isn't tunneling, but more throwing stuff out.

Sidney- gotta be honest, not a fan of the edited posts (three of them), but just gonna assume it was accidental, as I'm limited to mobile, and it's easy to make mistakes. I read sidney town lean at first, mostly for activity, and I think the shawo push might be just a bit of omgus, maybe? I don't think I see any sus teamwork, and I truly understand the questioning of what/how much to post as everything is seen as sus. I wouldn't vote sidney today.

Starlit- I've played with starlit before, and the hesitancy to vote elim d1 is not unusual in town!starlit. I do wish there would have been more opinions given on actual thread content, but also didn't see anything I can point to as wolfy except as said before- low substance/inactivity. Seems just nothing to go on.

Tessa- late activity, but glad you made it, and it's substantial activity/reads, more than some who were here at game start presented, so seems more town!tessa at this time.

Why do you think bringing up an elim=mafia?

If they were the first two to throw out suggestions for Elim, does that really make them scum? What else should e doing D1?

Because we have a role check thing as well, and eliminating today only gives us one more elim chance (with a high chance of offing a townie), i think it’s more wise to have someone that’s for sure suspicious/highly suspected to be mafia rather than just random suggestions

like…what if we accidentally killed off our role check person today? I would think that would be more harmful than losing an elim

Honestly, not sure. I asked what we should be doing d1 and no one really responded besides asking random questions (my one question went unanswered as well)

I just found it odd since we hadn’t even gotten a response from everyone yet
it’s just my biggest gut towards “these two may be working together as maf” though i don’t have anything that scream maf on either. I’m curious to see why shawo stopped gunning for me; that may clear up more

So I was curious. But out of 28 posts (give or take, I didn't expand them all.)
Trent has essentially given reads twice. Once about starlit/sidney, and the quote I gave earlier.

I think that's my biggest gripe reading through Trent's content. It doesn't feel like they're posting to do... anything. It feels like they're posting to post.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. But a lot of posts are just talking about other people's reads - but you haven't done much to share your own.

No, it doesn’t have much of a base this far, esp since recanting your sus on me, though I’m curious as to why and think that may help me get a better read. I addressed that in the post after this plus did put that you did make two good plays so far.

I’d rather not jump on anyone else’s reads because i want to learn to make them for myself + none were presented that i agreed with yet. I think trent may be the one I agree with most outside of what I listed, i just feel like he’d be best at being hiding mafia. But I don’t feel I know enough for a true sus yet

it’s the first on betsy, betsy seems town to me but that specific engagement makes me think potentially both could be maf. but otherwise i think betsy looks town so far or at least haven’t seen anything that suggests otherwise

I don't actually think this is true. Not your reads, the little to no substantial information to go off of. Not to mention, gut/tone is as valid of a read as actual content (especially since you can manufacture content in mafia, but it's much harder to manufacture tone.)

Tessa!town tbh it's only been a few posts but they all seem similar to how I've been seeing the game as well. Tessa's honestly my hardest townlean and it's just a couple of really nice posts that did it.

Hey good points are being made here. I personally find it very difficult to make reads off of tone than others, so for me it's hard to make reads when I feel that we don't have a lot to go off of, or when I can see both sides of an argument.

this reads maf to me.

The first post isn't inherently maf, because it reads kinda like "why are you interacting with Betsy but not me." But... when offering their own reads... it just seemed lackluster?

It just feels like an attempt to post something relevant without... any reason. I'm struggling to word this now that I'm describing it, but I feel like town!trent gives reads in a more natural way. This just seems like a self directed play.

Town!Trent and Maf!Trent play the same way Day 1, though IIRC some say I'm slightly more aggressive as Maf!Trent but I never really saw that. Is it not a valid point to bring up that out of the like four most active at the time, information was not being needled? Regardless, I know what I am and feel no need to prove myself to you today.

I think the best way to go about Day 1 is to most question, prod, needle, synonym here, as many players as possible to get more reads and information out of them. Chatter doesn't flow freely without people trying to liven it up without votes or declarative statements like "Sidney is maf, discuss." Shawo took initiative to better do this than Betsy did imo.
