Mafia Monster Mash Mafia Game Thread (Town Win!)

why wait until eod to say this instead of building a case on me over the last 48 hours we had lol.
Because I think it’s more likely to be random than you and think you may very well be town as well

And don’t trust myself to tell the difference

Well if rng doesnt, hopefully random is mafia, and no f3, right?

Night Three

The Pirate was a free spirit, eating and drinking whatever he wanted, saying whatever was on his mind, and partying for hours on end. He thought the other monsters were too serious in their haunting; he just wanted to have fun. In life, the Pirate was an infamous seafaring thief. His only goal was amassing as much treasure as he could. He met his unfortunate demise when he stole from the grave of a Sea God, who cursed him to live out the rest of his days as a hideous sea monster. The Pirate cared very little, though, as he continued exploring and enjoyed the stories people would write about him.

While he was not incredibly fond of the monsters, the Pirate attended this year's Monster Mash with the intention of nabbing some buried treasure at the cemetery. When the murders began to occur, the Pirate saw this as the perfect distraction, and began stealing in secret, taking jewelry here and there. His petty crimes would eventually catch up to him, though, once the Headless Horseman had been found dead.

Despite their obvious shock and horror, the party guests began investigating the Mausoleum, the scene of the crime. Though in decay, the building was full of antiques, jewels, and other extremely valuable items. How had the Ghost acquired this much wealth, who was she? Evidently, the Ghost had come from a very wealthy family, which excited the Pirate. While the others were investigating, the Pirate began pocketing as much as he could. Gold coins, silver necklaces, and diamonds littered the burial site, all ripe for the taking.

Just as the Pirate was about to finish, not wanting his pockets to be too full as to not alert the other guests, he came across a gleaming silver knife. The knife was encrusted in clear sapphires and was engraved in text of an ancient language he could not understand. The Pirate knew this heirloom could fetch a heavy fortune, and began to put it in his bag.

However, right before he could do that, one guest screamed at him to drop the knife. In shock, the Pirate dropped his bag. The other guests turned to him. In their paranoia, all they saw was a man with a dangerous weapon at a place where one of their peers had just been killed. Before he could explain himself, the guests noticed all the treasures the Pirate had collected throughout the night. Assuming that he had been committing the murders to steal from all of them, the group executed the Pirate.

The thief had nefarious intentions, but never intended to harm anyone. That much would be clear in what was about to come...

@Totally_RandomYT , the Pirate, has been eliminated. He was a vanilla townie.

Night ends in 24 hours.

Day Four

Frankenstein's Monster was a tragically complex being. Rejected by her creator and society, The Monster simply roamed the Earth looking for a purpose in life. Despite her hideous, patchwork appearance, the Monster was the most intelligent creature out there. Spending most of her time reading classic literature and historical texts, was an expert in nearly all academic fields. But while she held vast knowledge, she also carried with her a deep loneliness. Though a kind soul, the Monster was feared by all of humanity and never found true friendship in anyone. After all these centuries, she still had no name. Her creator refused to give her one, out of denial for creating such a hideous creature. The Monster, in desperation for companionship, attended the Monster Mash in hopes of finding a place to call home.

The execution of the Pirate for this thievery brought the group's attention to the bag of treasures that he had attended to steal from the Ghost's crypt. The mausoleum was littered with precious metals and gems. The group wondered the Ghost's true identity and how she had acquired this much wealth. While searching through the treasure the Pirate had dropped, Frankenstein's Monster took special notice of the engraved knife that the group assumed the Pirate wielded as a weapon. The Monster picked up the knife and began closely studying its details. She had seen the ancient text engraved on it before, it was a language used exclusively in alchemy.

The Monster realized that the Ghost came from a family of alchemists, the same one that the Zombie belonged to.

This revelation answered a few of the groups questions, but the major one still loomed over their heads: Who was the mastermind behind these murders? What vendetta did this culprit have against the alchemist family?

Frankenstein's Monster preposed that they all investigate the Werwolf's grave, the first murder of this night. Despite all that has happened, no one has yet seen the body. Perhaps digging up the grave would lead to the final clues they needed to solving this mystery. With unanimous agreement, the group walked towards the grave.

After a couple of hours, the group dug up the coffin. However, right before they could open it, Frankenstein's Monster collapsed. As one guest held her tight in their arms, they saw the engraved knife deep in the Monster's back. She had just been murdered.

With only three party guests remaining, the mystery had to be solved here and now.

@tessa grace , Frankenstein's Monster, has been killed. She was a vanilla townie.

Day ends in 48 hours. This is the last phase of the game.

when i saw the pm notif from damniel i knew that i died.... kind of relieved i dont have to live through the hell that is f3. good luck town i'll be cheering you guys on from the graveyard!!!

Rip, tessa.

And curse ye for leaving me here in f3.

Also, I'm crawling back into my tae tunnel today. I think it's possible d3 was railroading sidney in an attempt to leave f3 with a sidney/random combo.

bye tessa :(

fate is very cruel to me man 🥲

i apologize in advance to those watching from beyond the grave but i will try my very best

I was really hoping it would just be random after all, but at least this way we have active players to sort this out between

I never made it anywhere near this far in my other game; I'm nervous o_O

i was kinda hoping it would also be someone not-tessa so we could gather more from that but mafia is not so kind

I feel very unsure between the two of y'all left so i'm going to try to write out my full argument both ways for both tonight

I'll probably do the same, but not confident at all, so I hope the graveyard is forgiving if I get it wrong.

I was like fairly certain it was random, but was very scared of that possibility that it WASN'T and we would be forced to vote out for today

I was trying my best to leave the other 2 of the f3 with enough that if it WASN'T random somehow, it wasn't an easy maf win

I'm honestly kind of relieved it was, though sad it wasn't actually them and now I have to try to be smart here

tessa no. you were supposed to ride or die with me TT_TT
also weird that tessa would die out of everyone here.

why would me following my gut sus = a railroad onto sidney?
we were on d3 with no real cases built at all, so why does me scum hunting = to needing a tunnel onto me?

why would you railroad the one townie who spent d3 trying to build a case with the information we had when everyone else was deadset on eliminating someone who was practically AFK the whole dang game

Why do you think so?

thinking logistic wise why killing tessa was the most optimal here.

i have a few theories but it's a lot of tin foiling honestly.

and with betsy's new "ok time to tunnel tae" some of them seem a lot more likely now.

We have 48 hours and just 2 people to look into each.

I just think eliminating an active and leaving the afk to potentially decide the whole game isn't exactly helpful to town.

And I'm sorry, but I can't just go into an f3 without looking at both you and sidney. Crawling back into my tae tunnel means reevaluating everything and not just assuming it's sidney. That would be kinda stupid.

the way you said it sounded real scummy is why i asked.
bc you went from a "well maybe its sidney or maybe its random" to an immediate "ok time to tunnel tae instead"
