As a counterpoint - do you think there's no merit in eliminating a scummy townperson d1? It stands to reason that if someone WAS going to be elim'd d1, they're likely to be elim'd d2/d3 as well. Especially since we aren't actively getting a tangible benefit from it otherwise.

Ok but having a logical case for not having a d1 elim and having a strong read aren't the same thing. If anything, by asking players TO not engage in a d1 elim, I'll be able to make more strong reads. How are you expected to read a game when people are too shy to commit to a vote?

Speaking about bait - it's interesting that no one's jumped on the Sidney read at all. I mean everyone's observed the fact that Sidney hasn't made any posts/content, but it's interesting that no one is quick to jump on one read or another.

I mean yeah sure, it was effective bait in the sense that it generated conversation, but I could also assert that I genuinely do/still find Sydney the most scummy. What I'm saying is that ~no one~ was really getting pushed off the Sydney read. Where it's a pretty easy opportunity to try and push anyone in lieu of calling sydney maf/town.

I feel It’s too early for me to immediately assume shawo is doing this as mafia to try to push for a random town kill because i could also see it just being a push for us to do anything in general, at this moment

Since this was the first thing I saw I'll respond to this before reading any further. If I'm asked to pick a d1 kill without anything to go off of then I quite mercilessly vote out people who don't contribute much to conversations. I'm aware this is a pretty coldblooded stance to take but if I get the feeling someone will remain silent/filler-y for the rest of the game I'd rather have them voted out over someone who is giving me something to grab on to. Being forced in to possibly solving silent/filler slots late game also makes me want to eat drywall, which only fuels my bloodlust.

I'm not sure if there's a point in me giving actual names given I've got 4 pages to read and things might've changed, but people who fit my silent/filler category are shawo, sidney, totally_randomYT and possibly the AFKs.

Going to keep reading now.

It was implied? You not having offered that information yourself probably mattered more than any read you had to offer at that point.

Still if you're both town, would it not be in your best interests to fish that information out of me? Can tell ya now, Sidney wasn't going to be my vote. Perhaps Betsy or Sheep or even Shawo since those would net is something more to use.

I actually went back and looked at a couple games you were in on tbt (i think one was janitorial, which i didn't follow very well)... didn't get real far, but you seem to be more laid back here. So I think I'm in observing mode with you so far, and I think you are in observing mode in this game so far.

Same with Sheep Villager when I've played WW where we were forced to vote someone out each round, round 1 I'll vote for whoever hasn't talked yet since it's less of a loss to lose an inactive townie and if you don't go after inactives at all it's too easy for the ww to stay quiet and go unnoticed

If I'm remembering correctly who has posted @Totally_RandomYT and @tessa grace are the only two I'd label as inactive/silent so far. But, I'd still prefer to do no elimination. Since it's 10:30 pm for me (I'm in JST) and will be asleep durig EoD I'm putting in my vote now for that.

I would say shawo.

It is entirely possible it was of honest intent to target me…however, in my opinion, it would be pretty easy for mafia to decide to target me, as the new player with the least confidence (while i realize we have many new players, much of them have been pretty confident, even for day one). If I was mafia, I could see targeting me as a way to kill off a townie without drawing any suspicion of being mafia myself.

If you guys really want to kill me and think that with net the most info, then like….fine, but I am failing to see what info it would net, besides that shawo was targeting a townie and potentially mafia

I’ll be here until end of day more than likely, so I’m waiting for my vote until I have something I believe in to vote for
