Movies that really scared you as a child

Jurassic Park scared me? I presented that as a question, because I was crazy about all of the Jurassic park movies and dinosaurs in general, but I often had nightmares as a kid that involved dinosaurs. The dino-terrors didn't make me feel any different about them though. I still love dinos to this day!

I am a big ol'e scaredy cat so everything scared me! Specifically I remember being afraid of The Nightmare Before Christmas (Oogie Boogie freaked me out), Sleepy Hollow, The Mummy, and Gremlins.

movies rarely scared me as a kid. but there was one that scarred me for life - and i didn't even watch the movie, i only saw the commercial. it was for this movie where things were living in the airvents of this house, can't remember the name of it. i found it extremely terrifying to think that evil creatures could be watching through the vents. since, i've been scared of vents. i always watch the ones in my house because i'm paranoid and i've had numerous nightmares about them.
dumb i know but i was like 8 and idc it was horrifying

The Grudge and Scream 3 were the first scary movies I've watched and I remember being afraid of dark/tight places for a few months after seeing each movies.

I used to watch them intentionally when I was a kid. I made a point of 'borrowing' from my dads collection on a regular basis and used to scare myself silly. I remember being terrified after watching salems lot. My dad had recorded it (VHS) as it was on to in a two part series. The end of the first part where the kid wakes up in the coffin with those eye. Terrifying. And I still went back and watched it repeatedly. Also remember watching sometimes they come back. Which wasn't massively terrifying looking back, but those ghost kids really freaked me out at the time. There was another movie which was recorded but I can't remember the name of it now :( it was about lots of bikers who died and came back. Remember being creeped out by it. Will try and find it on google

The kidnapper from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang scared me as a child. I watched it once or twice, but could never watch it again.

Gremlins, idk why but I was terrified of this movie as a kiddy.

You're not alone! I was more messed up over the fact her dad was stuck in the chimney. > ~ < Still don't like it.

Another movie that scared me was Beauty and the Beast. My mom adores it, but Beast always terrified me.

i forgot what its called but its a horror movie about this male doll. i believe his name is chucky or something? his face gives me nightmares even until now oh my god

the only thing that comes to mind is the chucky series, I never actually watched them but I saw previews and stuff a lot in passing. I always said as a kid that I'd never watch those movies, but I did and found them to be pretty stupid lmao. i've always been a horror junkie though

There was some random movie on TV where a pair of green, glowing eyes was spying on someone who was sleeping through a half open door. Probably not that scary in reality but seeing that scene made me terrified as a kid. I have been keeping my bedroom door shut at night since then.

:(

Indiana Jones.

I think that was the day I realized hearts were a lot nastier than Valentine's day made 'em out to be.
