I had to get one as my Game Card slot busted on me due to Arizona's heat warping the pins inside my original 3DS so I needed to get a replacement. I decided to get a New 3DS XL as it had a much better CPU and RAM, improved Internet Browser, and ability to play Xenoblade. I do not have Xenoblade yet, but from owning Smash, I can already feel the improvements over the previous hardware and I love it. I feel it was worth the $210 I spent on it. My original 3DS feels cheap in comparison to the New 3DS XL and I could never go back!

I'm gonna get one 'cause I desperately need the SNES games on VC.

I have one, and it's great. However, this is my first DS, and so if I already had one, I doubt I would've gotten this one (even though it was a present).

I want one. But my 3DS is still in good working order so I don't see a point of upgrading. Unless they make the new Pokemon games exclusive for only the New 3DS then I don't see a point in upgrading any time soon.

I just bought the Animal Crossing HHD New 3ds XL, and I'm loving it, I've been using the original metallic red for so long, and honestly it's like a whole new experience on the bigger screen, also the screen is IPS instead of TN so it looks a lot nicer, I barely used my 3ds before, but after getting the new XL I've been using it every day, and bought new games for it, in my opinion it's 100% worth it, and I'm never going back.
Also I love that that the insides in my version is white and colorful, I just don't like looking at a black backdrop.

No, I recently got the New 3DS, not the XL, mainly because the XL is too big for my liking, plus I like the cover plates and the XL doesn't have them

I put 'Yes, it's ok." I got the New 3DS (but not the XL), I didn't really need the upgrade, but the Isabelle coverplates with the HHD bundle were too cute to pass up, plus I didn't want to have to get the card reader and need to bring that around with my old 3DS XL. The slightly smaller size of the 3DS was a little challenging to get used to after playing on an XL. I still tend to get sore hands if playing Mariokart for a while, my hands get tense! The extra buttons haven't proved that useful yet, but maybe they will be with any new games! However, the face-tracking for 3D viewing is really great if you like to use 3D when playing!

nope, i dont have the new 3ds and i dont see myself getting it anytime soon. why get it when 90% of the games playable on the new 3ds can also be played on the regular 3ds? you're simply just wasting money if you jump from the regular 3ds to the new 3ds.

I have a regular 3DS XL and it works just fine and didn't need an upgrade, as far as I'm concerned. I think it's just Nintendo trying to boost Amiibo sales. My mother has a New 3DS XL because it was shinier than the older ones when she was shopping (no, seriously) and I really don't notice much difference besides Amiibo capabilities and the placement of start, select, home, power, volume, and the WiFi switch.

I have one but I only got it because my old 3ds stopped working
