if the announcement isn’t happening this week, it’s definitely still going to announced
this year as i believe there has been a pokemon game listing on amazon already and dbrand (a company that makes cases and skins for electronic devices) has a page up for their switch 2 case.

Exactly. Nintendo doesn’t make announcements without any social media alerts. If there was going to be a Switch 2 reveal, Nintendo would want to hype it up and do it in a Nintendo Direct because that’s where the BIG announcements are revealed.

In 2016, Nintendo notified people of the following day NX announcement at like 8 PM (ET). So there are still a few hours for Nintendo to notify people.

This is just speculation though. It would be nice if we do see something, but with all of the rumors that keep arising every time, I would say just wait before you get your hopes up. I'm not sure what the next console will be. Will it be an actual different console or will it just be something similar to the New 3DS. I'm not in a hurry to hear about it, but I also don't mind if it does show up. I will probably pick it up at some point depending on the actual news on it and if there are any launch titles I would like.

Wii U had a very spotty and weak launch. I can't even remember what titles it came out with during its first year. I know Nintendo Land was one of them, but any others I am drawing a blank with. I think it mostly had a lot of 3rd party garbage. I remember constantly seeing this UK zombie game whenever I would go to Target/Walmart ect.

I loved Nintendo Land though. I wouldn't mind them launching a new version of that with more IPs like Splatoon, Arms, and some older ones they didn't add, and adding to ones they already did something with. I wouldn't want a port which I'm sure they would try to put out. They love doing that. Or a rushed title like Switch Sports. They had like 15 years and that was the best they could do? I love Nintendo as company and growing up with them, but they've been disappointing a lot lately. Maybe new management? They lost a lot of their personality with people like Reggie and Iwata and instead we have Doug Bowser that doesn't even make public appearances. I can't remember the last time he did anything besides the time he announced taking Reggie's position and that was that.
