Well, I already own a Switch, if I wouldn't own one, I still would have gotten the regular one. I mean the Lite is not bad, but I kinda prefer the option to play on TV, besides the regular one is bigger and I like that the Joy-Cons are separated and not integrated on the console. Even if they would release a AC limited edition, I wouldn't buy it, as I'm happy with the Switch I have (also I'm not that rich to buy another one).

I wouldn't be interested in getting a special Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch since I already have one, but if I didn't then I would still opt for the original Nintendo Switch. I prefer to play games on the television, and I far prefer the Pro Controller over the Joy-Cons. I'm also a big fan of the Super Smash Bros. series, and have used the GameCube controller in every Super Smash Bros. game since Melee. While you're able to use the Pro Controller on the Switch Lite, doing so seems like it would defeat the purpose. I'm not sure you'd be able to use the GameCube Controller Adapter with the Switch Lite, but even if you can it seems like the same would apply, so for all those reasons combined, the Switch Lite is wholly inferior for me.

I am still Switchless (and will be until NH is released), so my plan is to go with the cute, economical Switch Lite.

I already own a Switch system but do plan on grabbing a Lite as well, so per your question, I'd prefer for an Animal Crossing special edition to be released for the newest model. :D

Well I'd buy the switch since I don't even have it yet (been waiting for Animal Crossing to get it... made me miss so many games).
I don't want the switch lite because I have a big TV in my room and I really wanna play New Horizons on it. Also the "new" switch has a better battery time so sign me up! I also would love to see an Animal Crossing switch dock.
I really hope they won't make a limited edition for the switch lite only.

The regular Switch for me. I'm not a big fan of the Switch Lite, but I will agree it is cheaper to buy than the regular Switch. I want to be able to play both in handheld mode and tv mode, especially in tv mode since I might being getting a bigger and more up to date tv soon for Christmas this year. :)

I would get the regular Nintendo Switch, since I will play it mostly docked. The Nintendo Switch Lite is definitely a great option for those who will only play handheld, though!

Thanks for posting this, since it made me look up the differences between the Switch and the Switch Lite, and their really is quite a bit to consider before deciding. I'll post the biggest ones for me below, the ones which made me change my mind on getting the Switch Lite, and instead would get a Limited Edition on the regular Switch.

1) Certain modes will be inaccessible in some games, and some games will not work on the Switch Lite at all without buying a few Joy-Con controllers (and a Grip to keep them charged). For instance, you won’t be able to use motion controllers to flick your Pok? Ball in Pok?mon: Let’s Go. (that's a biggie)

2) One type of controller that will apparently not be supported by the Switch Lite at all is the GameCube controller. An adapter is available to use this controller on the standard Switch, but it connects via a USB port on the dock rather than directly to the console.
(so if your a fan of Smash Bros Melee, your out of luck)

3) You will need to purchase at least one Joy-Con controller if you ever wish to play the system with a friend, as well as a stand to place it down since the kickstand found on the standard Switch has been removed from the Switch Lite.

4) The Switch Lite has a battery life of 7 hours, but the newest Switch will have an increased battery life of 9 hours, up from 6.5 hours.

I've only listed a few, and I'm sure there are more reasons that might be important to others, also some people seem to forget that outside of its dock, the Switch functions as a typical handheld system, which makes it portable as well, for this and all the reasons listed above I would stick to the regular or Limited Edition Switch.

I personally like the lite better. It looks nicer (in my opinion) with the beautiful colours and because of the smaller screen, holding it would be more comfortable since you can't dock it. I have always been more of a handheld fan so the lite, being more of a handheld is my favourite. I also feel like a limited edition animal crossing version of it would look gorgeous given that it would be on the body and not just on the joy cons or doc like limited edition normal switches. :)

Just the Nintendo Switch for me. The console with the slightly better battery life? Most likely that as well.

I'm sure they would make them look super awesome! But i already have a original nintendo switch so i will not be buying a new one....except for a new pair of joy cons before New Horizon's release because my left joy con has hard core driftttttttt T_T

I won't be getting the Nintendo Switch Lite. While it's cute and comes in pretty colors, I'm looking forward to playing New Horizons both on my TV and on the go. I haven't played an Animal Crossing game on a big screen in a very long time and I'm really looking forward to it. My TV really isn't all that large - it's 32", but still, it's a lot larger than the Switch screen or 3DS screen (by a lot!) and I just don't want my experience to be limited to a tiny screen. I want to see all that new AC in high def, in all its glory!

If I even could, if buy the Nintendo Switch. As portable as the Switch Lite may be, I think the Switch proper is the best of both worlds, it would be nice to play Animal Crossing on the go but also on a TV at home. Also it would feel easier to use different controllers with the Switch, specifically USB ones plus hooking it up to Ethernet.

For me it will be the lite because that is the switch I plan on buying. I don't own one yet. I am probably gonna get one in November because I get paid three times in November. I am getting the lite simply because it is cheaper, and my bank account likes cheaper.. Working a minimum wage job and all. I prefer handheld games anyways. My friends don't own a switch either, so I don't think I have to worry about wanting to play with them on a big screen. Think I am going to get the teal colour.

Neither; I already have a switch, and if I got another one I probably wouldn't use it that often

Both are good, but the switch is honestly a better choice with a bigger handheld screen and tv mode.

Still debating overall but I think I'll go with the Switch. Horizons town feel kind of makes me nostalgic for the original AC on gamecube played on TV. So, I kinda think I want to have the option to experience it on TV not just handheld.

I'd get the Switch Lite just because it would (likely?) be a lot cheaper. I already have a switch so if I got a special Animal Crossing one, I'd get a lite.

If I did decide to get the regular, I'd probably sell the one I currently use. I'm not completely sure though.
