Ko followed right behind her, looking around cautiously to make sure the two were safe for the time being. He stayed close, worried about her, before quickening to run beside her.
"Understood."
He nodded, turning towards the store beside it.
"Call out if anything happens, okay? Keep an eye out for medical supplies."
Ko crept over to the abandoned store, looking within it carefully for anything they may need.
Ko lifted his head up, alerted to the sound of the female's voice. He grabbed the medical kit he had found, hurrying out of the shop to turn into the shop Cupa had went into, looking at the man, angrily balling his hands into fists.
"Excuse me, sir, what do you think you're doing?"
The man quickly held the knife up to my neck, tightly gripping my arm.
"Back away kid! She's mine now!" he growled in a raspy voice, pressing the blade deeper, breakinb my skin. I squeezed shut my blue eyes, terrified.
Ko angrily erupted into a growl, taking the scissors he had enclosed in his palm out from behind his back, and if his aim was right, he would throw it, hitting the man directly in one of his eyes. He hoped that pain would cause the man to drop the girl, as any other person would instinctively reach up to grab the rusted scissors from their eye socket.
"Gahh!" He yelled, dropping me and the knife. Ripping the scissors out of his eye, he glared down ay me. My hand had landed on the blade, leaving a large cut. I grabbed the knife, and flipping into my back, I kicked upwards, my heels landing in his soft spot.
Ko dove towards the girl, grabbing her wrist after she had weakened him and pulling her harshly, causing her to slide across the linoleum towards the exit. He pounced onto the male, even though he knew he was much smaller than this man, fighting for the scissors back.
"Be careful, Cupa!" He snapped, his face flushed with fury. He knew it was a bad idea to let his emotions get out of hand, but he would never allow a man to escape who threatened a female's life.
Ko smirked, satisfied with the girl's quick response. He managed to grab the scissors back, plunging them into the man's other eye now, effectively blinding him. Blood would splatter onto both Ko and Cupa if he hit his mark, and he'd back off, grabbing Cupa by the hand to run out of the shop. He glanced around before entering what used to be a food store, hurrying into there before turning to the girl.
"Are you okay..?"
"Yeah, I'm fine..." I reply, sliding to the ground, splattered in blood. I lifted my cut hand to my neck, feeling where the man cut me. "Are you okay?" I asked, more blood dripping out of the wound as I spoke.
"I'm alright.. er.. s-sorry you had to see that."
He looked away, embarrassed by the way he acted in front of a lady. He wiped the blood from his face, not realizing he would just smear it more, before he quickly reached into the first aid pouch, pulling out some bandage.
"This is going to hurt, please forgive me."
He gently rested a hand on the girl's shoulder, slowly wrapping her neck with the gauze.
He bit through the bandage, securing it in place before smiling up at her. Before replacing the bandage in the first-aid kit, he moved his hand to ruffle her hair playfully.
"Good thing I came with you.~"
He put the items away, scanning the nearly empty shelves this store held. There was bound to be leftovers, and he would be the first to find them.
"Yes, but try not to get into trouble this time."
He laughed playfully, slowly becoming more comfortable with this girl, almost to the point of calling her a friend. Almost.
He followed in the direction she pointed, crossing his fingers in hopes that he would find some food over there.
I walked down the isles, only finding a bag of chips. Walking over to the counter, I looked around, my eyes widening as I saw what looked like chocolate.
