I'm both Lawful Good and True Neutral, I like to have diversity in personality types and pick my favourite villager design for them. It was helpful with narrowing down and making a dreamie list, there are too many villagers to really pick so. xD

For me its mainly personality -> design -> house interior/theme

but i guess vibes matter the most cause that's how I made some of my spontaneous decisions, and traded more classically cute / popular villagers for more interesting (genji and vivian for rory and spike)

Personalities, character model, and then just pure vibes once they move in and I get to interact with them. Example: I used to love Fauna but once I had her in New Leaf, I kept forgetting about her. She was lacking something to make her stand out.

Guess I'm Lawful Good with a hint of Neutral Good. Occasionally may be True Neutral.

Not afraid to be Lawful Evil if I do see a good villager, I mean, come on, you gonna let them go when you know people want them and you can make a profit?

(my thoughts exactly)

also surprised that so many people pick based on design! i honestly have some (what i think) are boring/plain design villagers but their personalities make them so cute to me.

I'd pick all the good options.

I want all personalities on my island for diversity.

I'm attached to a handful of villagers because of nostalgia.

And I just vibe with whoever I invite onto my island. I invited Carmen on a hunch and I really enjoyed her.

lawful good: i really try to balance out personalities bc i ended up having 6 Normals at one point and i really disliked it.. so now, i try to balance it out more and made a list

Mostly chaotic good, with an almost reluctant dash of lawful good on the side.

Because my brain always wants to give me reasons, but my gut feel never tries to confuse me.

“House exterior - chaotic evil” kills me hahahah
For me I guess it is sometimes nostalgia, sometimes design. On my island I have ended up picking villagers entirely only from two different species (two of my favorite animals irl) I didn’t even plan it that way it just happened. D:

I'd say I'm both true neutral and lawful neutral, since I choose my villagers solely by design but I'm not sure I'd be able to afford all my favorites if I didn't have their amiibo cards.

Nostalgia and design. If I could, and I'm sure I can, I'd have all the original villagers I had in the GameCube version. But that would take too long, so I'll settle with what I get. Interesting designs are a plus.
