I love cheese. I really enjoy brie or camembert - they're so good when they're warm and I love a good baked brie oh my goodness. Also I enjoy a good blue cheese and have replaced a meal or two with nothing but blue cheese and crackers. I'm very happy someone along the line thought to ferment milk, because it is mostly amaaaaazing.
If it's in or on something specific I enjoy it (e.g.: casserole, grilled cheese, on a sandwich or burger). Not a fan of cheese strings or'snacking' cheese. Normally opt for plain 'ol cheddar.
Feta, blue cheese, and goat cheese - not even once.
I like cheese, but not prepack sliced American. That is just too bland.
My favorites are Cheddar (the sharper, the better), Wensleydale, and chèvre. I also like cottage cheese, once in a while. Bleu cheese is okay, but only in small amounts, like crumbled on a salad.
Grilled cheese and tomato soup is one of the best rainy day meals, and nothing beats a warm slice of apple pie with a slice of Cheddar on it.
I love cheese! On school or work days I always pack a string cheese (usually mozzarella or pepper jack), and I love cheese in my salads, sandwiches, omelettes, etc. But that's mainly mozzarella, feta cheese, cottage cheese, and cheddar. I'm not a fan of really processed cheese like slices of american cheese or that spray/easy cheese stuff. But hot nacho cheese is a guilty pleasure
I'm lactose intolerant now, and have been extremely picky about cheese all my life. I'm not otherwise a picky eater, and eat lots of different foods, but I'm very particular about cheese (and onions).
I do like (or at least tolerate) most of the white cheeses, and I love cooked mozzarella (pizza, lasagna, etc.). Parmesan, feta, etc. are also fine.
But the orange cheeses are gross to me, most of the time. I will eat shredded orange cheese in tacos, or over a salad. I also can eat macaroni and cheese, depending on how it's made, and I don't mind Cheez-Its or Better Cheddars, so apparently I'm fine when cheese is "cooked into" chips. But I hate grilled cheese sandwiches, I hate cheese on burgers, and I hate when orange cheese sauce is added to things like pizza, etc. These really gross me out, both the smell and taste. Reminds me of slimy mold. It's gag-inducing.
Goat cheese is also rather gross. I had it for the first time in an omelet earlier this month at First Watch, and I had to scoop it out. Also slimy and icky.
i'm not much of a cheese fan, i LOVE mozzarella but i won't eat anything with cheddar in it, even if it's mild, although i actually do quite like a cheese board on occasion so i'm not sure why i hate cheddar so much, but yeah
I like cheese, especially cream cheese and havarti, but you know when nice cheeses have those weird salt crystals? I think that's supposed to be a good thing, like maybe showing it's aged, but I don't like that at all. I think the texture and the taste of the crystals is unpleasant.
edit: I'm also not at all interested in eating cheese that has mold, like blue cheese. I can't get over the thought of eating something like that! I totally believe people when they say it's good, but I just can't bring myself to try it.
Cheese is sooo good. Sharp cheddar, smoked gouda, and cream cheese are my favorite, but the only cheeses I truly dislike are Swiss and ones with pungent flavor like goat. Honestly, I'm a huge dairy lover in general. Milk, yogurt, cheese, and half and half are all things I consume on a nearly daily basis.
I can't imagine my life without cheese. I put it on everything! I love European and other speciality cheeses. My favourite is feta but even my least favourite, American, is good on hamburgers so there really isn't a cheese I dislike. Sure, it may not be the best for my cholesterol but who cares?
I eat cheese just about every day and I like a wide variety of types. I'd say my favorites are Petit (Mini) Basque, Port Salut, and this cheddar & gruyere blend from TJ's.
