This includes any option that isn’t the standard 5-7 business days, meaning overnight shipping, one day shipping, or two day shipping.

The express shipping options are usually pricey, so I’m curious if anyone actually uses them outside of emergencies. I personally haven’t used an express shipping option outside of Prime.

Throughout most of the year, if I'm buying something for myself, I'm generally content to wait however long it takes for the item(s) to arrive and don't opt for any faster shipping options. I see no point in paying the extra cost; unless it's something seriously important that I can't just find somewhere else and I need the item(s) urgently, I generally don't need most things so badly that I want to waste more money that can be better utilized some other way.

That said, if I send something to a friend for their birthday or if I'm mailing a package to someone in December, I might opt for paying to get the package sent their way faster to ensure it gets there on time. This can be avoided or mitigated, however, if I just buy the stuff ahead of time such that the estimated time of arrival is still ahead of the birthday or Christmas. It's a bit subject to how much of a procrastinator I've been in the lead-up or if something I'm mailing, like Christmas cookies, is perishable and has a certain window of time I'm aiming for.

I try to avoid Amazon when possible, but when I do use them, I only ever use Prime during December for the holiday season to make sure things arrive on time and as quickly as possible.

For things being shipped to me, Amazon prime usually has the free shipping, fairly speedy, so that's what i use.

When I'm sending Christmas boxes to others, i find out when they're able to receive them and pay whatever it takes to get it there at/ around that time.

I'll pay more for convenience or better/faster service, but not a whole lot more if it's coming to me. I can usually wait.

Always the cheapest, no hurry option. I used to use Amazon Prime but I've been trying to save as much money as I can and Prime got too expensive for me.

I always go for the most basic shipping option unless I'm importing a figure from Japan (I haven't ordered anything in a while, but I usually went with EMS when I did).

We do have a household Amazon Prime account and live in a city, so the luxury of speedy shipping is often a default when ordering from Amazon.

When I used to shop online I’d get the fastest shipping. But I decided to cut out online shopping entirely for a year at least especially from Amazon because I was too impulsive with overspending on stuff. So now I just buy things I need at the store. Going out and buying stuff in person is a lot more mindful and it takes away the impulsiveness for me. I’m nowhere near as impulsive shopping in person as I am with shopping online. So yeah cut it out. At least for a year I’m aiming for. Cause I want to stop being so consumeristic and actually use and enjoy what I already have in my life which is more than enough. And I’m also trying to save money.

If and when I ever do buy something online again I’m not paying extra for faster shipping. I can wait, I need to learn how cope with not having instant gratification all the time.

We have a distribution center for Amazon not far from us so I frequently get free same day delivery. I literally just ordered an Apple Pencil at 10:30 this a.m. and it will be delivered between 2-4pm. I don’t normally require that fast of shipping, but if it’s available it helps feel like that expensive Amazon Prime subscription has some sort of worth, lol.

It's just not needed for me. I'll usually do the cheapest shipping that isn't seamail. I order things on a weekly basis, so frequent enough. I think the only time I'd ask for faster shipping is if it was a last minute gift.
