Mafia Papers Please Mafia: Game Over, Town Wins!

Yeah but:

Ness did probe for more information, but didn't want for Trojan to actually reply if he was still on TBT (I was not on when this discussion took place so if he was in the browsing users part, I wouldn't know). I can't remember a game where Trojan actually has made definitive reads on players, so his reasoning for voting for Trojan seems as much a stab in the dark as a policy lynch reason. That's why I pointed it out, we still had nearly 24 hours, which would be plenty of time for Trojan to come in and possibly answer Ness' questions.

To also add, I'm do also get scummy vibes from Jacob who stated they "had no reads other than Tom". I'm assuming his reads on Tom are due to the suggestion of a policy lynch, then how is it possible that he has no other thoughts on any players, including me who also suggested a policy lynch?

Hi yes i'm here i'm on invisible writing a reply.

Yeah I know, you posted you were earlier. I'm just waiting because I have to go to work soon.

also in response to Ayaya's bold:

How busy are you currently/this week?

I'm a full time uni student with laboratory work and I work part time. I'm incredibly busy and spend most of my days not at home. I try to post as much as I can when I get free time, but I live in Australia - so everyone is asleep usually when I'm active. So far I've been able to keep up in games.

So you see nothing wrong with Trojan's actions thus far? I feel that he's been a bit more serious and not-jokey than previous games than he has in this one, so thats been a cause of concern for me.

@Minties i kinda thought something a long the same lines, i actually clicked on the Voting Thread by accident and realized Ness had voted for Trojan already and so then i was really interested in his reasoning and when i check his post is was very wishy washy and kinda seemed to me like "im just gonna put this (his vote) here early that way maybe it won't seem like a rash decision or bandwagon later on." but i dont want to seem like im tunneling Ness this game cause of how it turns out every game and its distracting so im gonna try to keep it to a minimum unless i think its really something that needs to be pointed out. i don't want to food the threads with post and have important data get lost in the mess.

You know, i'm not confirming either of you as town, its just a pet theory. What about me town reading you seems odd to you when it makes sense when looking at it?
Where did I say you confirmed either of us? I said you're townreading us/Tom, which you implied on bolded sentence:

Ok now, since I had it confirmed to me by Ayaya that my evidence can work here, i'd like to point something out.

Tom is really quick to suggest to Ayaya that they should make a QT together, so I believe that we've already found our first town like symptoms here. I highly suspect that with Tom saying this, that 1 of them is town and maybe both. Scum most likely wouldn't suggest to another scum member to start a QT with them when they already have a factional QT, so it strikes me as this being town from one or the other (Tom or Ayaya).

Also, Ayaya confirmed to me that the 2 don't have a QT together.

And I already said why it's odd, you're townreading us based on the few replies we did.

Let me explain it further then, you're doing townreads on 1-2 players based short replies on early D1. Not only does townreads without scumreads to go with it are unhelpful, because anyone can appear town in argument ("Look! Player A wrote a long post about their thoughts! Scum wouldn't put an effort on reads, so they're probably town!"), but also it makes you look like you're trying to look contributive.

I am not saying you're scum because you did this as town too (ex: you said I'm town in Reindeer, also to Trundle in GoT like I already said), but usually you're more quick to say someone is acting scummy than someone is town. It's just one odd thing I noticed from this game.

I did note to Sataric that he hasn't been spamming as it was super obvious. That's either due to two reasons: he knows he'll get lynched for it or his scum team is keeping him on a leash. I'd never rule him out as inno because he has had a massive style change this game. I'm not opposed to actually lynching him for real (not based on policy), but I'd like to see what Ness is going to say first.

Yep, it was right in my post. Try reading it.
Thanks, but I've been clinically diagnosed with idiocus, meaning that I apparently cant read **** in front of me.

AKA can you or someone point it out because I read it over again and cant see it

Finally, Tom. These young whippersnippers need to watch Monty Python.

I'm not going to be posting more than basic thoughts until N2 unless I really get a strong read. I've found I'm usually very useless early in the game. Also, I didn't know this was a PM game, and no one has PMed me yet, which is interesting.

Quoted for Sarasa. N2 seems very far away to not contribute any reads.

So while i'm writing i'm reading this i'd like to say great job! You just took everything Minties said about me and put it into your own context.

@Minties Yeah ofc not, but I think its the most sus thing this game so far.

That being said, Ness's reply should be insightful.

So the reason is b/c he finds himself useless in early game? That doesnt clear up why this game specifically unless Trundle just had this revelation.

How busy are you currently/this week? It's week 7 for me at school and all my assessments will be rolled out this week (or have been last week), and most likely due by week 9 or 10 so I might be sort of inactive, maybe not.

Okay so I'm conscious now and I wanted to comment on some things. I found it really interesting to see how many players suddenly vehemently jumped on the anti-policy lynch without providing any thought at all to contribute right after Sataric. That looks super duper pro town so you're obviously green! /sarcasm.

Well you were screeching about no-policy, so I expected you to bring something else up since you're Sataric. Explaining reasoning for a policy lynch isn't passive and I'm getting sick to death of you guys using that ****ing word. Trundle used it like a parrot last game passive passive passive. Lets talk about actually passive playstyles like Ness flip flopping around like a fish with his suspicions and then ultimately voting for Trojan anyways? I find it interesting how you seem to clear a new player (that is friends with you) when you don't usually seem to ever do that in a game this early. I'm a bit annoyed at how much of a hypocrite you are Sataric, considering you used to join in on the Day One Cory lynches all the time. Please hop down off of your high horse and don't villainise players that are suggesting a spammer lynch with the word "bullying". Note how Trojan isn't actually spamming gifs? That's because he knows that he could actually be lynched for it instead of people just complaining about it.

I don't know where you got me flip floping my suspicions from, but i'm going to assume that this is a situation between my suspicions of Tom and Trojan. Let me put it blunt: Tom's recent posts are puting him in my null reads, as i've been suspicious of him since this point but after posts 186 and post 200 have made me reconsider these opinions. I also had received this PM from him when I was explaining my theory to him~

"I figured that out as I passed out last night, I'm just wondering how it was relevant in the grand scheme of things. Ultimately one or both of us could still be lying, using it as a ploy to get invited to PM circles and pump them dry for information. I sure hope that if you're doing your QT things you're thoroughly keep an eye on everyone there."

So in other words, Tom is back in my null reads. On the other hand, I have Trojan onto my scum reads since he's striking me a bit as odd now. My reasoning for this is explained below.

Also as a side note, what really spooked me about Tom was he mentioned in post 147 that he somehow knew I had a QT with the 2 people i've been trusting this game, SarasaKat and Sataric. Here is a link to the QT between me and them, Click. My main qualms came from the fact that I know Sataric's role as he is confirmed town in my eyes since anyone who visits him dies on contact. I was worried that SarasaKat was scum and had given the QT link to Tom through the scum chat, so it in general really frightened me. But with Kat's and Tom's exchanges i've begun to rethink this.

Bashing Trojan? Since when is stating the TRUE FACTS that this player has been a proven spammer and hindrance to the town by lying or generally sht posting bashing? I didn't hear any of the veteran players in this game crying when we pointed out the same thing about Cory back in 2014. There's no bashing here and I literally can't believe you guys brought out the word "bullying" in a mafia game considering that stating facts about a player's playstyle =/= bullying. It would be bullying if I told him he should die or something, which I didn't. Sorry about the whole 2016 we're special snowflakes and words hurt mentality, but this is mafia. If you want your safe spaces, go to tumblr.

I'm going to stop you right here, but this is a bit rude in general. I didn't see it as bullying, but if I were put on a wagon for this reasoning and having people be like "lol you suck so gtfo of here" kinda hurts a little bit, even if its mafia and has the ability to harm someone emotionally. To me, that comes off as incredibly condescending and rude to the person doing it, and in general isn't fun for that person.

I also found it really interesting how SarasaKat backpacked on Sataric's posts, then Jacob and Ness. The main thing I noticed is that they all went after Tom, even though I suggested the exact same thing. I also want to point out that Ness said that the Trojan lynch was a **** lynch, but then voted for Trojan less than an hour after that post. The scummiest player to me right now appears to be Ness.

tbh, it was a sh!t lynch before but Trojan is coming off to me as twitchy in post 198 made me change my mind about him. Him saying this is what led me to his vote, and he went offline without explaining a thing. The reasoning I had to calling him a sh!tlynch is because Tom had went all out on him without letting him come in to reply to anything, but then he went off in a really, really short notice by just saying he thought that Tom for wanting to lynch him, and then you Minties for literally no logical reasoning. I also think that him suggesting Kit and Runeraider in post 123 were mostly sh!tlynch candidates to say without them even doing anything, but that doesn't constitute for Trojan anymore since he's here and posting.

Him doing this looks scummy in my eyes, and yes he has plenty of time to write up some justification for this.

Trundle was the only one to not foam at the mouth like the rest of you sheeple following Sataric to try and look town. Not really sure what angle he's playing at right now, but it seems odd to me that he's playing so reserved and doesn't want to state any of his suspicions. That doesn't really seem to help steer us in the direction of a lynch.

So you're saying that you think that me, SarasaKat, Jacob, and Sataric are all scum and trying to look town?

also please don't rule out zoolka because they're new. ****ing Gandalf made me scum in my first game ever on TBT.

Tom why did you want salties back. I can't keep her caged.

Spoilered to prevent a wall of text. Hopefully this covers everything, if you have a question i'll answer it with the time I have.

Any thoughts about the game so far dough?
TBH I don't really know, from what I've skimmed over, people are just arguing over policy lynches and what not so I'll probably talk more when something else sticks out.

Yeah, be careful with people despite their meta. I was made scum in my first game and everyone assumed I was town because I was new and I literally coasted throughout the whole thing and won lmao

But it makes sense does it not? Scum wouldn't ask scum to make a QT with them this openly even if not literally. Also, its not "unhelpful" for me to point out something that is clearly town if it doesn't have any scum reads with them.

That pet theory I made was right when the game started, so of course it wasn't going to have anything along with it.
