- People putting others down for liking or doing things. Liking certain games, music, going to do or see certain things that you may not have an interest in. Even if they've done something that's not technically brilliant or impressive, if they're proud or confident about it, you're a male genitalia for smacking that confidence down.
One of the biggest 'Richard Moves' people can do in my eyes is putting somebody down because they're enthusiastic or enjoy something you may not or have done something that YOU don't find impressive.
- Slightly hypocritical to that point: it does irritate me when people draw 'short people' or creatures such as Goblins, Gnomes or dwarves and it's not proportioned as a smaller person, it's just a regular person with regular proportions but drawn in a smaller area or *shudder* just scaled smaller with a scaling tool.
I come across it quite a bit as somebody who loves goblins and dwarves and will play as a goblin or dwarf at any opportunity in fantasy games. You get the ones who are drawn in a way where even without context, no background or other characters, they look like they're only 3 feet tall...Then you get the ones who have the proportions of a regular 5-6 foot dude but they've been drawn in a smaller area than the person would usually draw (or with dwarves, they're just a 5-6 foot fat guy). It's not totally even an 'ability' thing, I've seen pictures of characters who are supposed to be short that are absolutely technically fantastic, but they look like I could stare right into their eyes without looking down at all.
To be well and truly neckbeard with it: They're drawing goblins with the proportions of a hobgoblin.
• I hate when people judge or form negative opinions based on appearance. I’ve heard of people not even wanting to be friends with someone because they weren’t attractive. I guess relationships are understandable, but to not be friends with someone because of their appearance? I don’t know...
As somebody who "clearly likes the music they're into", I.E, a metal fan (long hair, piercings, band shirts, the whole shabang) I can relate to that.
The amount of times I've been negatively judged and thought worse of because I don't have a "normal" hairstyle and wear shirts with a skull on is ridiculous...But on the other hand, helpful, because I don't want to associate with people who make judgements on appearance, so they're doing me a favour letting me know they do that.
