pet peeves / lil stuff you cant stand

Some of these YouTubers be like: Before I get to the video. Did you know only 99% of people who watch my videos aren't subscribed to me. So do it now!.. or I'll find your house!

Stuff like that only makes me not want to subscribe. I get it, but no.
Yeah, I decided to watch Sidemen because a friend mentioned them, but the asking for subscribers was painfully embarrassing. I believe it was in the middle of the video, and the guy was like "if you don't subscribe I'm going to beat you up" or smth, I can't remember exactly except that it was just obnoxious, not funny.

I hate the bottom of the cereal box. It's always the crushed-up pieces and often it has this awful dust/powder texture. My mom always complains when I open a new box without finishing the old box, but I refuse to eat the bottom 😶
Same used to happen to me, but I managed to convince her that it's best to give the crumbs to the birds.

Yeah, if you have to tell me to subscribe, to me, that means your content doesn't sell itself and it's bad.

Good God! I forgot how annoying all the New Year’s Eve shows are. I don’t need a recap of the year in pop culture or obnoxious TV hosts screaming into a mic in a crowded square. Talk about a stressful way to end the year!

Fanfic authors who don't even bother to tag stuff that's CLEARLY in their fics and vice versa, especially when it comes to content that could be potentially triggering to readers. It's so frustrating whenever I try to find some fanfics through tags, and the way they're tagged just throws me off. 😵‍💫

I don't watch a lot of Youtube or content people, but that and them having to promote something before the clip is annoying. I get that they have to do that as its their paying gig and those are the sponsors paying them or whatever.

Using search engines anymore. The first result to pop up is some auto-generated AI advice that's inaccurate. No one asked for you. Stop forcing it on us. This whole AI thing is getting out of hand. So many people are so lazy and unmotivated by default and I worry what's going to happen 5 years from now or 10. So many people are already letting AI do all their thinking and some people are using it in lieu of actual social interactions. It's really sad.

I did find it funny a while ago when AI was using existing information on the web to train itself and some people tricked it into giving advice on making pizza that included using woodglue as one of the ingredients.

It’s January 1st, and this guy’s wasting no time. I don’t think this needs any explanation.

Why do we have to restart the year at January, and go through all the other months? I want it to be October, November, and December the whole year. October is the only time where it's socially acceptable to like goth fashion, magic, fantasy, and creepy stories. November is just beautiful. December is not only Christmas, but a generally fun, nostalgic month with good cookies and one of my favorite poems, "A Visit from St. Nicholas."

Idk...maybe those months are fun because we have to wait for them. But I like fantasy, creepy stuff, and goth fashion the whole year regardless.

People who make fun of others' lunches. It sounds obscure but I've had multiple people from different workplaces commenting on my lunch in a negative way. Like why comment on my food? What's wrong with it? Why is it anyone else's business?

Okay I'm so curious now!! What do you like to bring for lunch?

I'm sorry they make fun of you though that's mean.

People who make comments like "You're so quiet!", and "You should talk/smile more!". It mainly happened while I was at school, but it also started at my workplace. **** off.
I usually don't get that because I know if I seem even a little subpar someone will comment, but one time it happened will stick with me. A few years ago my uncle and my aunt (siblings) died within a week or two of each other. I took about a month off of school because of several reasons, some to do with the morgue and wanting to do a postmortem i think but taking ages. Anyway, I finally went back to school a few days after my aunt finally got buried. Needless to say I cried from stress and from the realisation fully hitting me, conveniently in the middle of a maths test. Someone was like: "Just smile more! If you smile it'll make your body happier as well." Oh no! Why didn't I think of just smiling before crying when two of my close loved ones died? Honestly, silly me.

So annoying.. that was basically my entire experience in school. and the annoying comments I would get when I did talk: "omg you can TALK?!"

only ever been told to smile by a principal and a professor though.. that's just downright inappropriate

Real!

I’ve had a person I’ve never even noticed before come up to me and say “can you talk?!!”

The time that angered me the most was when we passed around a paper in 4th grade and all gave compliments to each other. Several people said “you’re quiet”. Oh, really, I didn’t know! Ugh. Even if their intentions were good, it really, really irked me.

It shouldn't be normalized to speak of any persons body weight.

I'm 160 LBS, but I'm not too defined. It's misleading so I've been told I should 'eat more'. When a family member does this I will call it out as body shaming.

That's in the healthy weight range for my height. What more do you want?

I ALWAYS had the "you're tiny, you should eat more!" comments growing up and it annoyed me. I was eating perfectly fine, I just was naturally thin. I eat slow so I'd always be at last eating at the table and even today, I still get paranoid being the last one at the table.

People truly need to stop commenting on people's eating habits and body weight. Unless I'm legit SICKLY looking, I'm fine.
