i tried to use high jump kick ( regular priority ) they used flamethrower.
i then used earthquake, and they ( presumably did flamethrower again )
no quick claw was activated.
no trick room was in effect.
no min priority or plus priority was used.

there was absolutely no play of priority involved whatsoever.
i should have killed the arcanine with hawlucha.
i've indeed seen these illegal mons in all of the battle facilities...

i also knew the AI has higher luck than me.
i tried with a king's rock, serene grace, togekiss using airslash. ( which has a chance of about 66% up to 70% of flinching )
and almost never flinches, they use heat wave one, boom burned...

don't they know that there's a difference in making something hard, and making something unfair ?

It has to be your Hawlucha; the only Arcanine in Battle Maison that has Flamethrower is Modest Nature, and has 252 HP and Sp. Attack EVs. Moveset is Flamethrower, Incinerate, Sunny Day and Solarbeam. Held item is a Charcoal.


And to add, NO Pokemon in Maison has an illegal set. The only 'illegal' set is in Gen 7's Battle Tree, where a Kommo-o had Shell Smash, but it was patched out.

yes, it was my hawlucha.
it has 252 EV's in attack and speed.
arcanine's speed doesn't do that high at lv. 50, i know because i have an arcanine.

my hawlucha didn't miss or anything.
it had full health, i switched from kang to hawucha because it used will-o-wisp on my kang. ( when he did that he outsped my kang )
on the switch it used sunny day, and than suddenly could out even my hawlucha.
when that got knocked out i switched back to kang to EQ that could possibly take it down due to the life orb damage it took.
and now all of the sudden i could outspeed with kang.

it was the 69th battle.
was hoping i could set a new record since all the battles so far were very easy, and than this stuff happened and made me lose.

Does it have 31 IVs in Speed? What is its Nature?

yes, all my pokemon have either 6 IV's or 5 ( when they do have 5, a stat that's not important doesn't have 31 IV )
jolly nature hawlucha, in the case of my hawlucha it doesn't have 31 special attack IV's, but it does in all other stats.

Well Defiant Passimian is definitely throwing the NU tier for a loop currently, I'd say that is definitely interesting. It's also something I wanted to breed when Sun and Moon first came out, only to find out you couldn't access their hidden abilities...

So I'm OK with this. Besides, Generation 7's lifespan is going away this November anyways so it's a good idea for Game Freak to release unreleased content (Hidden Abilities of Pokemon) before Generation 8 releases.

Anyone restarting their Pok?mon games for SwSh come out? I played White like 3 times so imma go with Black 2 (Yes I’m aware it’s the wrong sequel). Dunno if I’ll do nuzlocke though, it just seems like a pain and takes the enjoyment out imo

New Pokemon event for SM and USUM was announced earlier. A shiny version of Solgaleo and Lunala will be available through serial code at Gamestop (via the Pokemon Pass app) in North America from October 21st through November 10th. In Europe, from October 1st through November 15th.

Ah, great. My least favorite Pokemon out of all of them won Pokemon of the year.

Well, at least Dragapult won Galar. Dragapult is one of my new favorite Pokemon so I’m happy with that.
