omg the area around my work is a GOLD MINE - it's really amazing. and so many people are using lures too ; v ; I can't go more than half a block without running into something. so I restocked on pokeballs and I've caught 25+ pokemon just this morning. ahhh I'm so excited to be at work for once XD

and I finally got my first egg! now I have like 10 lol

Nice! I drove quite a bit, back n forth between a few locations that were supposedly bountiful, but all I ever encountered was commons or uncommons. I caught 1 new Pok?mon, and saw another new 1, but couldn't get to it. I wasted my only lure lol, but apparently I get another one at level 10. I just counted, and I brought home 6 eggs and not 7. 2 of them are 2k eggs though, and not a single 10k. Even though I have some eggs to hatch, and I can always try again another day, I just feel like today was my worst day as far as hunting Pok?mon goes lol.

Stayed at my gym for like 1 hour trying to protect it (shoutout to Golduck for being useful once in its poor lifetime). I was mainly fighting Instinct people who kept trying to claim the gym with <200CP Pokemon. The second they gave up I went home only to find some random Team Valor take it ;-;

Gotta go back for the 3rd time in a row to protect this thing -sigh-

At least I'm having my friends stop by today to help strengthen it with some more pokes at least. Hopefully then it could last more that 10 hours without being conquered.

I really feel like that's how the servers are being run with this game honestly.

I've passed gyms, yet I haven't been to a single one yet. I was close enough to one that I got to choose my team, but then it became too far away for me to do anything. I really still don't know much about the whole Gym thing, yet I do? I understand the basics and all, but I still have zero personal experience with a gym, and I feel it could really benefit me.

There's like no one in my neighborhood who plays the game so I pretty much have it to myself because a lot of the kids in my neighborhood seem to be lazy couch potatoes and all the adults usually are inside or going somewhere so yay.

Somewhat in the same situation. Except the neighbor kids and adults aren't lazy, they just don't happen to play Pok?mon Go. So, nobody catches Pok?mon there but me as far as I know.

I've only been to one Gym so far but only managed to defeat one Pokemon. Makes a lot of sense that the Gym can have multiple Pokemon to defeat but you can only battle with one?? Once your single Pokemon faints it's game over.

Im glad everyone is enjoying the game so far. I, unfortunately cannot play it until Christmas because I don't have a smartphone, and neither can my brother. My brother does have a smartphone, but cannot play it because he doesn't have the latest phone to play it as his is old. My niece can, however and she's enjoying it very well. I wonder if she's gonna buy Sun and Moon.
I was originally going to get a phone for my birthday, but my laptop screen broke. It appears white but cannot see anything. I tried to fix it but cannot. So for now, i'm using the Wii U as my internet and i'll be getting a new laptop for my birthday instead of a phone. (Well that's just great technology, well done!)

So, if this thread is still active when Christmas arrives and I get one i'm joining you guys!

The closest gym to my house (only a 15-20 min walk away) just changed from team valor to team mystic! Also saw an unclaimed gym turn blue right before my eyes. Time to support my team...once I get better pokemon!

same with me but it's the one guy taking over literally ever single gym with his crazy strong pokemon. he's on the same side as me though so can't complain really

Hey I was just wondering if there's a way to catch Pokemon easier been having bad luck catching them I just reached level 6 today though. And was just wondering if any one figure out a way to make catching them a little easier ?..

Just redownloaded the game today and I've caught a few around my house! I'm making plans to go out with friends to a few nearby towns, one of them's already mapped out a library with a few stops and our police station is a gym, so I'll be sure to pop over there when I can.

I hasn't seen anyone post this, so please be aware of the current security issue.
Mostly for iPhone/iPad users.

When signing up with Google, you apparently gave the company full-access to you google account. They can pretty much access everything related to that account in Google. So Drives, Documents, Emails, etc. You can remove the access/permission, but some people say that it makes you restart. However, some people say they were able to continue.

If you revoked the access, let us know what happened. Did you restart, or were you able to to continue?
I used an old gaming email from Gmail that has no personal information and I saw that PokemonGo does have full-access. Since I have nothing to worry about, I'm not that concerned, but I also don't want to risk my progress now anyways, so I'm not risking revoking it. Apparently the company is aware of it and called it an apparent glitch, so users are expecting a fix to it soon.
