Pokémon Pokemon Go General Discussion

Went to the mall today to pick up Monster Hunter Generations, Pokemon were appearing like crazy, but it was so hard to catch them since it's like a 6 level underground mall, and the GPS could barely get a signal under there... I did manage to catch a Bulbasaur and a Staryu though, so I guess there's that. There were also two lure modules right next to each other somewhere in the mall, but my bad navigational skills, combined with the dodgy GPS signal meant I couldn't find them at all.

That sucks, and sounds really crazy, because I've never heard of underground malls. Wow, just parking garages going underground really... 0_o

my father is obsessed. we started playing tuesday morning after he asked about what it was and now he's level 15. he's never played a pokemon game. he's started to be more active. he drags me around town and asks me constantly which move would work best on which pokemon. i'm only on level 10. send help

holy crap that's my dad. he is way more obsessed than me, and he's 5 levels ahead of me now. idk i think he could use the game to connect with me bc you know, teenagers are less connected with their 'rents and other crap, but not i sorta don't want to play pokemon go bc he literally plays it 24/7

the app's designed to suit adults/people who can go out on their own anyways, and with me being an introverted teenager, it might not be for me. i feel like he does try his best to connect with me through pkmn go, but it's probably gone beyond that tbh ?? thank goodness he's off work for the moment and next week he might be less interested in playing once he becomes busy again (so i can catch my pokemon in peace, lmao).

So my brother and I went downtown and we met a bunch of people/saw people we knew playing pokemon go and after walking around for a while, pretty great

saw some illuminati forming stops with lure modules so we decided to stop there

we stayed there for quite a while and talked with a bunch of people

also this guy's (I guess friend) dad had this pretty cool contraption on his bike I wish he could make one for mine lol

Notable things: today I went from lvl9 to 13 :>, caught a kingler,tarous, geodude, hatched a poliwag and evolved a vaporeon overall evolved a bunch of my pokemans

also, i almost forgot this one time today as my family and i were driving home, we passed by the local church/the nearest pokestop, and there was a bunch of kids there, huddled around the mailbox across from the church. i thought they were just playing soccer, until they all looked at their phones at the same time. my dad rolled down the window as we passed by and yelled "THERE'S A PIKACHU AT STARBUCKS" and two kids started running so fast down the street to grab the pikachu.

I was driving around a random apartment complex near a gym and a Rapidash appeared! threw like 15 balls before I finally caught it! success! pretty decent CP to start too

Drove around late last night with my cousin drove by the mall since I figured it'd have a ton of PokeStops. Nope. Not a single one. So far this game is a disappointment. =\

I've gone 9.7 on my 10km - I can't wait to see what it is!!!!! I almost screamed when I caught my jigglypuff and clefairy...actually I'm 100% sure I did haha
