I'm glad I am not the only one who always picks a certain type! I always pick grass so if I end up buying this game (gonna wait for it to be released and see the initial reviews), I'll get Rowlett since I always pick grass

Pokemon Legends: Arceus has been announced!

The starters have been revealed! They are: Rowlet (from Gen 7), Cyndaquil (from Gen 2) and Oshawott (from Gen 5).

Which one is your favourite and which one will you choose?

I will be choosing Rowlet because I love Decidueye.

Rowlet because of Decidueye. That's just no comparison between those; Cyndaquil is one of my former starters though, so I'd lean towards it as well.

I am also choosing Decidueye because he is a Ghost type. Not only because Ghost types are cool but also because they can 100% flee from any wild battle no matter the level. Pokémon Centers are unlikely in the game so having a Ghost type will help run away from unnecessary wild battles.

It's a hard decision for me, since I do like all three equally. Right now, I tend to go with Rowlet here, since I like Decidueye the most out of the three's final evolutions.

As of now I'm definitely thinking Rowlet but I'll have to see when I get the game. I try to go with whatever started feels right in the moment of choosing, right now I'm leaning Rowlet but I'm open to Oshawott. I don't see myself picking Cyndaquil in any scenario though because it's just never been a favourite of mine.

I've considered Rowlett but I'm probably gonna go with Oshawott since Samurott has been one of my favorite pokemon since Gen 5 was released

I think I'm going to go with Rowlett. I've never been a fan of Oshawott, and Cyndaquil is fine but nothing special to me. I didn't choose Rowlett in gen 7, but if I replayed them I think I'd choose Rowlett. I love the final evolution and the grass/ghost typing.

I gotta go with my babby Oshawott. Gen 5 is the best out of all them (imho, so don’t take it personally), and my teams with Samurott always worked better than the other two starters did. (Also water is just easier for me to work with!)

I still have no idea if I'll buy this game or not, but if I do I'll probably choose Oshawott.

There are not any fire starters that I would go for over its contemporaries.
Except Cyndaquil.

I love Rowlet and will probably choose Rowlet! I haven't played with Oshawatt though, so I might consider once the game is in my hands. I've played a countless number of times with Cyndaquil for Gen 2 and the Gen 2 remakes, so I'll definitely pass on Cyndaquil this time around.

I'll probably choose Cyndaquil, but most of the time I don't end up keeping my starter on my team anyway. I think the only times I actually did were Mudkip in ORAS and Snivy in BW.
