Question: what was your first AC?

Wild World, and I didnt know how to read when I got it lol

My first game was City Folk and I had a similar experience I didn’t know how to write but somehow knew how to read when I got it and my town’s name was frrty because I just typed random letters

New Leaf was my first game, but I do remember wanting Wild World and City Folk for the DS years before prior but never having the opportunity to get it. u_u

Wild World. I didn’t even know what Animal Crossing was when I got it, my parents got it for me because I like animals haha. When Kapp’n asked me “where are you going?” I thought I had to put what country I lived in.

I quickly realised my mistake when Pelly welcomed me to the UK’s town hall, and I reset.

Pocket camp isnt really and ACTUAL one, so it's City Folk/ Let's go to the city. Got it not too long ago, now have new horizons lol

The Gamecube version! I remember I got it for the holidays after reading about it in a Nintendo magazine and finding a second hand copy in a game store. It came with an AC memory card, I wish I hadn't lost it.

Everyone's saying the older games, and I'm here starting off on New Horizons. I really didn't know about AC when I was younger, I only really knew about it like sometime last year from a Youtuber I watch.

You're not alone, my first AC game is also New Horizons. I've bought some of the previous games as well by now but NH is definitely my favorite out of the bunch.

Wild World for me, but I own and have played all of them (including the original Doubutsu no Mori for the N64).

As to those people who've only started with ACNH, there's nothing wrong with that! What matters is that you're here now!

My first was Wild World, but I was 11 and had only just started to learn English (the game in Dutch only became a thing with NH, I believe).. took me a long time to figure out wat Tom Nook wanted me to do and I did not understand why I could not buy or sell anything to get money. That phase took, I don't know, days - weeks? I figure eventually I asked my parents, but apparently I was being entertained enough so I just walked around the town and talked to villagers.. whom I could not understand either.

Still played the game for a long time after that, really helped with learning English once I understood the basics

New Leaf I remember one of my friends who had the wii game said it was really fun and recommended it when NL came out, and then we would all play together ^o^
