Real talk: does anyone actually like Monkeys?

Yes, I like the monkeys very much. Nana, Shari and Champ are my favourites. I like the gorillas too.

Aww, I really like the monkeys. At one point, I had three of them in my town: Monty, Tammi, and Nana. Monty and Tammi were my favorites. Nana was cute but just too pink for my taste. I also like Shari, Simon, Champ, and Deli.

I personally don't see anything wrong with the design of the monkeys, gorillas, and mice. I think they're very cute just the way they are.

I'm not opposed to seeing new villager species. The more the merrier, I say. But I wouldn't want to get rid of any to replace them. Just add on to what we've already got.

i think monkeys are really cute!! compared to more commonly used species like cubs and cats theyre definitely not the cutest, but i think they're better than a lot of other species too (im sorry gorillas, you just are not the most pleasant villagers to look at). i think its a bit too extreme to say you'd rather get rid of a species to "make room" for others; why not just keep everything and add on to it? i guess it makes the villager pool bigger, but more options are better than less.

The gorillas are eh and sometimes look kinda racist (from a USA history standpoint) ... so I dont like them too much. But it could just be me who gets that impression

Deli is a nice guy.He's never flung his own feces at me or spread some weird incurable monkey disease nor has he fed himself by picking fleas off of the other villagers.The only thing that bothers me about the monkeys is that point on top of their heads.

i absolutely love the monkeys, i think they are a fun design and add character to the town. I have made it no secret on here i would love for champ to return, he recently moved into my CF town and i was over the moon. He is definitely a favourite villager of mine. Bring back champ!

I like some of the monkeys, but I dislike the gorillas and big cats. And most of the mice, for some reason.

I'd love to see weasles/ermines, and more bird variety too. And BATS! Please please please, I want bat villagers!

I think bats would be interesting, but I feel that we are unlikely to see bats or snakes any time soon considering the troubles in Asia right now.

I would really love there being more turtles since Tortimer seems to be gone. I think more water-dwellers would be interesting because I really love the octopi we have in the game.

Out of all of the monkeys, Nana is my favorite. I have her in one of my towns. I like the idea of the baby versions of animals mentioned by jiojiop.

I like the monkeys. Flip is even one of my favorite villagers as he lived in my old New Leaf town for years. Hopefully they introduce some monkeys that more people actually like in NH.

I actually had no idea about monkeys being specially distributed villagers in WW until this thread. Their circumstances are really weird; they removed Porter and made villagers based off him? Kind of an odd decision.
They better reskin Frillard into lizard villagers, or Farley into weird gnome villagers.

I kind of like the novelty of getting a villager species in a nonstandard way, but it'd be pretty annoying if you really wanted them.

I super like the monkey species! I especially like Porter and Monty. I haven't let Monty leave my New Leaf town since he moved in years ago. And I'm kind of disappointed Porter probably won't be in New Horizons; there's no need for a train on the island though. But I thought Porter was cute since AC:GCN. Personally, I don't think the monkeys look very similar to humans at all.

I don’t mind the monkeys. I haven’t really had any of them in my towns, but based on appearance they’re all right. Some are cute, some aren’t. The only one I don’t care for is Elise because she was mean to me years ago lol.

It’s the gorillas I don’t like. But I can live with them.
