Replace your 10 current villagers

current: Merry, Lucy, Lyman, Frita, Bud, Cyd, Nibbles, Queenie, Beardo, and Chief.
replacements: Fushia, Judy, Ruby, Raymond, Marina, Dobie, Snake, Stitches, Merengue, and Whitney.

the only one i would be sad to replace is Merry, but i just chose villagers based off of who i have never had before on my island and to have at least one villager of each personality type.

Honestly if I could not have Tabby and Rodney at least I would cry, but I will give this my best shot. I ended up making myself pick all villagers I have not formerly had on my main island, to make it more interesting for myself. There is a hamster requirement on my island, but luckily I like them all.

If I had to choose villagers entirely new to me, who I have never had on any island incl. my husband’s island:

The New 10

I started second guessing my choices and decided to just finish the list quickly instead of over thinking it. My goal was 9 species I haven't had before and my token frog.

I would replace with Felicity who is about to replace Barb anyway, then Merry, Rosie, Purrl, Rudi, Bob, Mitzi, Kabuki, Kiki and Monique.

GASP!!! I can't believe I have to even think of this with some of the ones I have...

I made sure to have all the personalities. I did my best to stick with villagers that looked feasible for autumn/Halloween time. Freckles is the only one that doesn't fit that theme at all in my opinion. I don't think any of the Peppy villagers really have that look, but she's cute, so it's okay.

This is actually really difficult because I aimed to have a mix of my favorite villagers and balanced personalities. However, I guess I'd just have the ones I simply don't have room on my island for.

Current Villagers: Marshal, Diana, Fauna, Judy, Stitches, June, Sherb, Audie, Julian, and Raymond

Replacements: Ankha, Etoile, Chelsea, Chai, Marty, Ketchup, Rosie, Lucky, Dom, and Whitney

i was honestly expecting this to be easier as there are so many villagers that i love and am interested in having, but this was lowkey hard as hell due to the majority of my current villagers being dreamies of mine. curse nintendo and their 10 villager limit lol. nonetheless, this was a fun idea!

current: beau, audie, margie, ketchup, fauna, whitney, sprinkle, fuchsia, marty and carmen.
replacements: lolly, tangy, lucky, agnes, francine*, rudy, dobie**, maggie*, katt and zucker**.

i absolutely adore my villagers, but i honestly kind of dislike the lack of variety in my current lineup, so i tried my best to change that with my replacement lineup. francine and maggie are asterisked as i’ve never had them before i think lol, but i am very much so interested in them! i never used to care for francine much tbh, but she’s grown on me a lot over the past few months and i think she’s lovely! as for maggie, i’ve adored her ever since she was added to new leaf, but since i don’t own her amiibo card and wasn’t really playing when the WA update dropped anyways, new horizons is kind of my first real shot at having her aha. fingers crossed she pops up in my campsite or on a mystery island one day!

dobie and zucker are double asterisked as i’ve actually had them on my island before, but i allowed them to move out so that i could make room for other villagers. i’ve tried to make it a rule to not have a villager more than once, but i honestly really miss them and would gladly have them again in a heartbeat if i had the room! :’)
