Saddest Celebrity Death of this year?

Everyone dies why would a celebrities death be sadder?
This is just sad...

Because some random guy that died today had no impact on my life whatsoever. If I even remotely cared about literally every person who ever died that I've never met I would just be sad 24/7. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Nick Menza was part of the band that wrote albums that directly made me want to pick up the guitar and play music. I may never have had any sort of personal relationship with him, but he made more of a contribution to how my life turned out than some people I actually do see and interact with on a regular basis.

prince, bowie, and doris were the ones that really got me. i vibe with prince and bowies style, and doris was a huge part of my childhood.

christina grimmie had a very awful death, and i am very sorry for all of her fans. i personally hadnt heard of her until now, but she seemed so lovely. may they all rest in peace.

Though all the deaths are equally sad, David Bowie, Alan Rickman, Chistina Grimmie, and Prince all affected me the most.

All the deaths are tragic, especially for the family..but Anton Yelchin's was really sad to me...such a freak accident, he gets out his jeep and it rolls back hitting him and pinning him to a fence...

Christina Grimmie I guess. I don't get too wrapped up in celebrity deaths, they are sad but they aren't more important than the deaths of the average citizen, but I guess it was especially strange because I had found her music a few weeks before, but didn't subscribe yet because I rarely log into YouTube, and then I logged into YouTube to subscribe, and then found out a couple hours later that she had died, which was really strange, especially because she was so young.

Her death was senseless..so sad because witnesses said she thought he was a fan and she reached out to give him a hug and he shot her..

Alan Rickman was a fantastic actor, and he inspired so many. He was absolutely brilliant in Harry Potter, and the other roles he took on. He surely wasn't the saddest celebrity death, because I feel sadness for all the other celebrities that died as well, but he was the one celebrity that stuck to me.

Although I only watched around 2 videos of her, I'd say Christina's death hit me more just because she was just so young and innocent. And it was a horrible way for her to die; she had a whole future in front of her. I think it was that same night where the Orlando shooting happened and it made me more frustrated with the world. All celebrity deaths were equally sad, it's just that Grimmie's affected me personally more.

Bowie for sure. I grew up to him so he was a constant in my life, I literally in my youth watched the Labyrinth so often I can recite the entirety of the movie. We would listen to his music and dance about as little kids so he's just deeply engraved in me. I plan to get a tattoo someday in his memory.
(I totally went home after I learned of his passing, held a pillow, popped in Labyrinth and cry-sang my way through the whole movie.)

I personally was most bothered by David Jones' passing, primarily due to his huge influence on music, artwork, fashion, gender expression, his charity work for AIDs, and despite being his age and having so many lovers only have two children who both loved/do love him very, very much. His music isn't for everyone but his music inspired so many modern artists today, his outspokenness has helped so many people on the sex/sexuality/gender spectrums find themselves, and all in all him being such a good, loving, relatable and talented man.

Putting this aside, While I feel inklings of pain here and there for the deaths of celebrities, in the end, the world is heavily overpopulated and the hundreds of deaths that happen each day lighten the burden on earth's back. So in the end, it's good that people die. More people should.

I'm upset about Alan Rickman and Doris Roberts. We've lost a LOT of musicians this year as well, and in addition, we lost Anton Yelchin of the Star Trek reboots a week or two back.

But for me, as a musician and a fan of Visual Kei, the loss of David Bowie was the end of an era. His death personally affected me the most.

Saddest celebrity deaths have to be for me personally, Christina Grimmie and Alan Rickman. Christina Grimmie because I used to watch her and felt like I got to know her personally so her death affected me more because I was a direct fan of hers and I just couldn't believe she was dead. It had haunted me for days and days, and I just couldn't stop thinking about it and discussing it with others. Her cause of death was just so unfair and such a selfish act and that's why it's impacted me so much. With Alan Rickman, i'm a fan of the Harry potter series and knowing there has been a death from that franchise especially one that had so much story importance saddens me. He was definitely a very talented man and he's dearly missed. I must say though, I recently went to watch HP & the cursed child and the actor who played Snape did a really good job at portraying him. However the original will always be better.

They're all pretty sad tbh. But for me, David Bowie's death was so unexpected. With the releases of his last two albums I got the feeling that he was in very good health. Sadly he was not. :(

.

bowie and prince were sad but i didnt listen to them. but the saddest for me was lemmy kilmister from motorhead. he died a few days before new year so not exactly this year but his death left me kinda like numbed for weeks. couldnt believe he was really gone and then his funeral online and dave grohl all sad and crying and i was just like i cant. they were touring europe kinda and the last show they played was in germany and they would continue those show this year so i wanted to go see them in germany this year. :( he did like a liter of whiskey a day and still lived till 70 so i thought he wasnt gonna die soon but then hearing he was found dead with progressed prostate cancer and all his family,, bandmates and friends all sad like damn. but lemmy wanted people to not be sad so thats why i wasnt really and played motorhead loud after his death. :) i still cant believe hes like really gone. so RIP lemmy and rock on if youre still somewhere in this realm. xD
