i got the fake sanrio cards on ebay for like £12, they work the same way and are always being sold
i understand a lot of people prefer to use original cards though

just thought i would mention since it's easier to get the fake ones because yeah, the real cards are gonna be sold out quick

Oh ya, these are jus the new leaf cards being released in america.

So ya, you'll get the villagers in new leaf and the sanrio posters in new horizons

If there is no function update I find them pretty weird to re issue. It would be nintendos brand for sure but still weird. Only so many people are collectors and will want a card that does almost nothing.

There are still lots of new leaf players who never had a chance to get these and vice versa for acnh players who want the posters.

That would be me. I liked the furniture that they had for NL but was never able to get the cards. I wonder where they will be sold. Even if I can only get posters in NH it would be nice to have the cards to get the furniture in NL.

Oh I loved Chai! My favourite was Marty but my favourite furniture was Toby's because of its Japanese inspiration. I am hopeful but not too hopeful. Even if we don't get the villagers, we should at least get commemorative furniture. Just the posters would irritate me.

Since they’ve been re-releasing the amiibo cards, I hope that means we will see more items and/or villagers associated with the amiibos like in NL.

Definitely picking these up (Marty is the only one I really want BUT STILL)! I'm praying that it will be the actual villagers and not just posters. After all, that would be a slap in the face for them to put "For use with: New Horizons" and then only have them give you a poster. This is what updates are for, Nintendo.

i can't find any solid info either, but i'm thinking they'll likely be sold on amazon UK, the UK nintendo store, and maybe online and in-store at game and argos? i know game has had AC cards and merch in-store/online before and they did the AC switch pre-orders, so i feel like they're a possibility!

I have the Sanrio set and all series five RV's, and they are useless.
