That didn't take long at all! Maybe 5 minutes into today's hunt I found a second shiny Azurill, this time by the beach. Both finds were full odds.

I got extremely lucky with Legends! I found a shiny Alpha Turtwig in a massive mass outbreak. This is the first Alpha (sans the ones that are permanently on the map) shiny I've seen in my game!

Look at this big ol' fella.

I don't have screenshots on me right now, but I'll talk about my shinies I have so far in Scarlet

• Tarountula was the first I got in the game. It was just a random full-odds shiny.
• Drednaw was my second, found as a Chewtle in Casseroya Lake. I think I was working on my dex.
• Lechonk was another random shiny while working on the dex, and I think was the last shiny I got before getting the shiny charm.
• Smoliv was hunted since it's one of my favorite new shinies. Will evolve it to Arboliva.
• Jumpluff was a random Hoppip. I also found two other random shiny Hoppip, one while EV training and can't remember the other. I'll evolve one to Skiploom.
• Scream Tail was found while EV training.
• Drifloon was found on my way to the auction.
• Rotom was from an outbreak.
• Deino was during a Glimmet outbreak.
• Deerling was on Saturday as a Christmas hunt. I wanted Delibird, but I got that outbreak first. Though I didn't get it until right after the outbreak ended.
• Skiddo was a phase during that Deerling hunt.
• Azumarill was from an Azurill outbreak I found right before the Charizard raids came back.
• Magneton was from a Magnemite outbreak. I think it was the first Pokémon I shiny hunted in this game, since Magnemite is my favorite shiny and I was cursed to never find one. I also got two other Magnemite from a different outbreak, and evolved one to Magnezone. I don't like Magnezone's shiny compared to Magnemite and Magneton which is why I didn't evolve the original one.
• Azurill was found while hunting Fidough, like right after finding my Azumarill.

In Violet, I’ve gotten 3 random encounters so far. I haven’t been naming all my pokémon, but I want to name every shiny (and everyone on my team). Anyway, here are my shinies so far:
-A shiny kricketot, Concerto
-A shiny rookidee, Canary
-And a shiny silicobra, Mamushi.

Concerto and Canary were found within my first two days of playing the game XD I don’t think my odds were increased for any of these, but I could be wrong.

I also have 5 shinies in Legends Arceus excluding Ponyta but I’ll post about them when I find my 6th.

In Shield, my boyfriend got me a shiny magikarp who is now my Gyarados. I bred a shiny Rookidee and a shiny Milcery for him ^^

Started my second save on Scarlet a few days ago. Went with a Sailor Moon theme (my character and team choices) but found an unrelated shiny while on my way to the next gym.

I really do love the overworld shinies. Thankfully this was another obvious one but like most I do wish we had the sparkle animation and sound affect in the overworld as well like we did in Arceus.

I got my shiny Buizel! He spawned way out in the ocean, well beyond my reach which made me very nervous that he would end up despawning. After watching him swim toward shore and then turn around and swim back out to sea, he finally came close enough to notice me and come out of the water. With him in my party I can finally get on with the game! Never mind the fact that I'll end up having two water types in my party...

Yesterday I was wandering around a lower level area beating trainers for the reward item and ran into a pretty pink Toxel. Caught her in a Heal Ball. Quirky nature, not great stats, Rattled ability. Trophy shiny but very cute. Love the colors! Great first random shiny for Gen 9.

What should I name her, hmm?

UPDATE: Caught another random shiny, a female Shinx, while I was EV training my story team today.

The final group of shinies I'll ever catch in this run of Scarlet, as I plan on starting a new playthrough as soon as Oshawott becomes available to transfer through HOME. These were all caught with full odds, no Shiny Charm, RNG manipulation or sandwich buffs.

Found this little guy randomly in a cave. What a cutie! And when it evolves into Noivern it's an even cooler-looking shiny.

So yellow, so little, so cute! It tried running away from me but I spotted it just in time.

Given how common Azurill are in the wild (funnily enough, to even obtain this mon back then you needed to breed Marill while holding a Sea Incense, but things are simple now...you know, for the kids! lol) I was bound to come across a shiny one eventually. Even Koraidon doesn't look all that impressed lol

I did it! I just caught my first shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet! I had to use a shiny sandwich and mass outbreak to do it, but I encountered a shiny Scatterbug and critical captured it in a Premier Ball! I named her Shinobu, after Shinobu Kocho from Demon Slayer. I'm so happy right now. Hopefully the first of many!

I DID IT!!!! I encountered my first full odds (no sandwich buff OR mass outbreak) shiny Pokemon in Scarlet/Violet! I was playing my Pokemon Violet Surpriselocke and walking down a path during the in-game night when I saw a Misdreavus floating close by. I looked at it several times before realizing it wasn't the normal color, and so I battled and captured it in a Great Ball. I'm so, so happy right now. That makes two shinies I've captured in the games so far!

My first organic shiny was from Sun/Moon- I was trying to breed a shiny alolan vulpix, took a break for a minute to do some pokedex hunting- first wild encounter was a shiny Ariados. I remember coming to TBT to make a journal/blog about it, I was so excited. But also super disappointed LOL

Here's my latest shinies from Legends: Arceus! I found this little y-guy in a massive mass outbreak—and narrowly avoided failing him too. I'm so glad I managed to catch him before he fled.

And my first shiny of the new year was this silly pink monkey!

And just this evening when I was trying to grind some levels to take on the next gym in HeartGold, hoo appears but a little golden owl?

Sorry, Pidgeotto, you've been replaced as my future Fly-er.

Crying rn!!!! I finally have my pink daughter, my shiny loveball Hatenna! I got a Hatenna outbreak after hours of constant time travelling and it look me a week and a half before I managed to find a shiny (no sandwiches or shiny charm as I haven't finished the game yet) I swear every night I would do picnic resets until I fell asleep, and last night I finally got her! I'm super duper excited to level her up and evolve her into a Hattrene.

So after today's DLC announcement, I preordered it and as usual, I breed with my ditto to get the other stages of any Pokemon. In this case H-Zoroark. When I originally did the breeding, I only accepted 1 egg and declined the others and when it hatched, I got a SHINY ZOROA. However, it wasn't the H-Zoroa, it was t he regular Zoroa. I forgot to use an overtone to hold the regional form, but this little mistake turned into a happy mistake with this Shiny Zoroa who will know be forever important to me because all though I've had shines before, this is my first shiny I got from breeding and hatching. I just couldn't believe that all it took was just 1 egg. What are the odds of that?

My first ever shiny was a Marill back on Sapphire. My little cousin restarted the game and I lost it though... It was so long ago that I didn't even know what a shiny was at the time.

But the shiny I'm most proud of was in Y, about a decade later. Over 200 Eevee eggs using the Masuda method before I succeeded, and I even took the time to get in some IV breeding and egg moves. The shiny hatched on Christmas day and I named him Jingle.

The best shinies are the unexpected ones. I was really tired and falling asleep while trying to despawn gulpins. I didn’t even notice the deerling. It was the summer form that blended into the grass and I ran into it. I was surprised that it was shiny. When I checked the summary, she had the rare mark!

Another story I have is regarding breeding for a shiny. I’ve tried in the past without any luck. I’m very thrilled to say my first shiny I bred was a shiny hisuian zorua on the 10th egg!

Last story. I was shiny hunting for Iron Hands by respawning and despawning on the rock above the crystal in Area 0. It was the last minute of my sandwich and I was going too fast and accidentally despawned the shiny. I got lucky that another one respawned on the next batch.
