Got a shiny Heatran in Pokémon Go. I swear the legendary in this game have a 1:6 shiny rate.

Reviving this thread because I just had the strangest and most ironic chance encounter. I was doing raids for exp candies and suddenly entered this raid for a shiny Gourgeist... in October. I managed to land the finishing hit during the raid using my Heatmor and immediately used my master ball to ensure I would capture it. It’s a male and purple, so I nicknamed it Joker after Joker from Fire Force/Enn Enn No Shouboutai. I honestly love him so much that I’m going to replace my starter with him in Pokémon Shield since they’re both grass types. Officially the second shiny I’ve ever caught.

I think I've posted in here at a previous date, but here are my shiny pokemon I've obtained in Shield so far:

Take note that I do competitive so I'm likely gonna list extra pointless stuff about em'.

1. Galarian Darumaka, hatched at egg #86 (rough estimate, I got distracted and forgot to track it)
2. Galarian Ponyta, hatched at egg #558
3. Charmander, hatched at egg #67. Has Hidden Ability.
4. Chewtle, hatched at egg #186. Has Hidden Ability.
5. Toxel, hatched at egg #166.
6. Rhyhron, hatched at egg #521.
7. Axew, hatched at egg #209.
8. Rufflet, hatched at egg #172. Has Hidden Ability.
9. Galarian Slowpoke, hatched at egg #474. Has Hidden Ability.

My current hunt is Squirtle with Hidden Ability, which is currently at egg #570 and counting. It has been a while since I last played Shield, though when Crown Tundra releases I'm likely going to pick it up again.

This stuff is just for Shield, though. On my other games, I have dozens of shiny Pokemon that I've obtained over the years.

This past week I went thru the hell that is the ultra wormhole in pokemon ultra sun to find a shiny guzzlord. I wanted to get the pumpkin man for halloween. Then I decided to SR for TWO shiny blacephalons (one for me and one for a friend), and caught wormhole shinies while training up a catching mon for that: Altaria, Crustle, Heliolisk, and Stunfisk.
SRing for the shiny blacephalons took all weekend, I just got the second one last night. Overall it was pretty good luck, I don't think I got "above odds" on either of them despite doing many SRs (I don't keep track of SRs because I like doing it as a mindless thing while multitasking/watching stuff)
PLUS I got a random shiny buneary before I got either blacephalon. So that was pretty dang cool.

I got my first shiny from egg hatching in Pokemon Shield last night. Alolan Ninetails! I think it only took around 400 eggs! Totally wasn't expecting it but I'm so happy, she is gorgeous. I'm so thankful I got a female and with the hidden ability Snow Warning to boot!

I some how got a shiny Uxie on Pokémon Diamond. I was under the impression that throwing a quick ball on its first turn would have a high catch rate (spoiler alert: it’s only about 1%) and after about 10 resets I encountered a shiny. It was almost out of PP and I was almost out of balls before I caught it in a dusk ball. Not sure what I’m gonna do with it. Bulky Pokémon aren’t really my thing.

Randomly got a shiny Tapu Bulu in Sword last night. I didn't even notice it was shiny when I was fighting it. When I caught it, I saw that there was red on the little avatar they show when a creature is in your party. So I was like "wait..." and sure enough, when I compared the avatar sprite colors to the full model, it was obvious that I caught a shiny (not to mention the little shiny stamp).

As for the rest of my shinies, I'll need to go through my boxes and count them all up. I feel like I have about 20-30 now.

I’ve been shiny hunting on and off since mid 2014, and I’ve obtained my fair share of shinies. It’s always awesome to finally see those sparkles! I haven’t hunted in earnest in months so the last shiny I remember getting was an HA shiny Falinks (one I was REALLY hoping for). If I do pick up again I’ll be trying to get a shiny Rolycoly (carkoal has become one of my favorite egg warming mons so I’d like a shiny one).

Got the Odd Egg in Pokémon Crystal, which has a very high chance of having a shiny in it. I resetted until I got a shiny from the egg. After about 10 resets, I got a shiny... Elekid, which I swear has the most subtle coloration difference of any shiny pokémon EVER. lol

My current favorites are my VC Crystal ones. I soft reset for the starter Cyndaquil for over a year and finally got him, and then within the week I got Celebi and Suicune, I couldn't believe it!

After doing raids in the wild area for most of the day in Shield I have finally caught shiny Aloan Vulpix, had been about to give up my search for it so glad I did one last den Current favourites which I have though are shiny Vaporean and Umbreon, I have got all shiny eeveelutions but I like the colouring of those two best.Shiny Raikou is another current favourite due to how long it took to finally find in the Crown Tundra dens.

• Farfetch'd. Second shiny I encountered, and got it in Platinum in 2009. I did use hacks at the time for other stuff, but not for finding a shiny. Oh, the first shiny I encountered was Quagsire but it RAN FROM ME!
• Victreebell. From this point forward, all of them were caught in 2020 (I call it the Year of Shinies). I was catching some Pikachu in Let's Go Eevee when I found a shiny Bellsprout randomly.
• Dodrio. Another one where I found a random shiny Doduo in Let's Go Eevee. Can't remember if I had a catch combo, but I wasn't even looking for a shiny.
• Magmar. Community Day in Go, which I don't really know whether to count.
• Smoochum. Odd egg in Crystal. This was my first successful shiny hunt. I was hoping for Tyrogue, but I'm not going to turn down a shiny.
• Ludicolo. Found Lombre while shiny hunting Quagsire in Ultra Moon.
• Floatzel. Also found while hunting Quagsire. Between Ludicolo and Floatzel having rain-based abilities (along with the regular Pelipper I used on my team), I'm building a rain-based team, along with other weather conditions. Not shiny though, just regular Pokémon. But I can't NOT use shiny Pokémon.
• Abomasnow. Weirdly, also found while hunting Quagsire (still haven't found it yet). I accidentally went into the wrong wormhole. I got it Christmas Eve, so that's fitting.
• Tsareena. I was playing Sword and accidentally encountered Bounsweet and it was shiny. Even though my team is constantly changing depending on the next gym, I'm keeping Tsareena as an almost-permanent member. Again, can't NOT use a shiny Pokémon.

Caught this beautiful Quagsire earlier today. A shiny Quagsire ran away from me 11 years ago, and today I finally got one after over a month of hunting in Ultra Space.
