I would really like to have all of these back, especially the lights on the houses! It would be great to have all the AC specific holidays back too, like the Flower Festival.

On the poll, I want Christmas lights on houses (including the human ones), and three-layered towns like how some towns get in the GameCube version. But two layers is good enough.

Not on the poll, the big lake to be bigger again and for a dock to be on the big lake. That was one of my favorite GameCube version exclusive features.

I liked the dock on the lake, so it would be kind of nice to see that brought back. It was a small but nice touch. Maybe you could even customize it into 1 of the 3 PWP styles.

I voted for both the Christmas lights and the morning exercises. Of course, during the summertime, I practically never woke up early enough for the morning aerobics, so that would probably be a feature I'd miss out on again. :p

I ended up voting for all of them, but as someone whose first animal crossing game was PG, I feel the most strongly about layered towns, morning aerobics and villager personalities.

Layered towns just give the town more character, especially the vaunted three-layer towns in PG. I always loved just chilling in those secluded little nooks near waterfalls, and it was a fun challenge when villagers would ask for a ball to be brought up a ramp to them. The ramps themselves were also really interesting - some are straight, some twist and turn, one in my current PG town looks like the cliff just kinda collapsed. The flatness of NL towns is kinda off-putting in comparison; it almost feels like a downgrade. One thing they should do wrt town topography/layout is give Rover more dialogue options to help the system generate maps you'll like. Such as "What do you like about the town's terrain?" with the options being like "it's very hilly (3 layer town), it's very flat (1 layer town), or it's kind of a mix (2 layer town)." They oughta know by now that a lot of us playing AC are perfectionists who will just reset over and over to get the map we want lmao.

As far as villager personalities, that is a big one that needs fixed. If this was a single-option poll, I probably would have voted for it. As it is, there's barely any functional difference between the female personalities, and the male personalities are just... off. The crankies are too nice, the jocks are too sport-obsessed, etc... The characters felt more alive and unique back in PG than they do in NL. So yeah, fix the personalities, and beef up the friendship system. Crankies and snooties should start mean, but mellow out once you befriend them enough. And all of the personalities could do with being de-flattened.

Another thing I'd like to see the return of, though it's not small, is the episodes from CF and WW. I'd like to have more interactions with the town NPCs, and I'd definitely love a few new ones for characters like Isabelle, Digby, and Lottie. Hearing through the grapevine from Lyle was so boring; I'd rather befriend the townsfolk and learn it from them myself.

all of the above. I'd also love to see piles of leaves, soccer balls, and the gamecube holidays back too!
