Snake Villagers!
-Well we have Octopi so Snakes isn't too far of a stretch, it'd be cool to have a legless villager for variety but then tool use is a problem but maybe they'd use their mouths, I just think it'd be interesting

Insect Villagers!
- Butterflies, Lady Bugs, Praying Mantises, maybe even Spiders, having some insect villagers sounds like another interesting villager ideas,

More Storage:
- Maybe you can buy more storage space from Nook with bells, like the secret storeroom, I find myself running out of space in NL so that'd be pretty cool

Backyard and front yard customization
I love how HHD has the ability to put things in our front yard, but I would love a backyard to put gardening in

Birdwatching!

Another collection mechanic, Where we have to have to take pics of birds to add to the collection Blathers can take your pictures and put them on display

Villagers request PWP more often
I have the WORST TIME getting PWP suggested to me, so I would like to see more PWP suggestions, then with occasional Reminders from the villager that requested it

More ways to get bells other than pawning
Maybe a part-time job minigame, maybe just minigames in general, maybe fruit collecting where you have to catch good apples and miss rotten apples, and stuff like that!

Villagers ask for advice about the outside of their house
What colour should I change my Roof too? Should I change my door? How does my fence look? Stuff like that, to help with theming of towns

Bigger Villager houses
The longer the villager has stayed in town, the larger their houses get, I feel bad having a big fancy house while my villagers have tiny little houses.

I think this is the first time I have seen bird watching suggested; that could certainly be way fun.

Love the ideas, especially with more villager house options and recommending more pwp. Can’t wait to see what they all add in the new game. Minigamss would be great too

Snake Villagers X bad idea

Insect Villagers X bad idea

More Storage  There should be two-three spots for carrying tools (shovel, net, fishing rod), but space management is part of the game

Backyard and front yard customization Good idea

Birdwatching & Another collection mechanic Good idea

Villagers request PWP more often X bad idea

More ways to get bells other than pawning X bad idea

Villagers ask for advice about the outside of their house Good idea

Bigger Villager houses Good idea

Nice ideas, although I'm kinda sceptical about insect villagers, as I'm not sure how it would work
with them and the normal insects both in the game...

want to explain? you put a lot of formatting into saying something was a bad idea as if it was a fact and not an opinion

snake villagers: i'm 50/50 on that one, although it's true that it wouldn't be a stretch cause of the octopi characters

insect villagers: this would be really cool actually! seeing a butterfly character would be interesting! my only concern would be the idea of catching bugs; would it bother them, would they just not care? it's probably me just thinking too hard on it, but a bug villager catching bugs would be a sight to behold

Storage: yes, please! the more storage, the better!

backyard and front yard customization: YES YES YES! A THOUSAND TIMES YES! that's the whole reason for me buying happy home! it's why it was so disappointing to find that you don't get your own home to decorate. i'd honestly buy the switch game if it only involved variation of customizing your house/front yard as well as better character customization

birdwatching: ooo, that's an interesting mechanic! that would honestly be so much fun to do, you could maybe earn badges for it and it'd have its catalogue in the encyclopedia. i wonder if they'd have us actually catch them and put them in an enclosure, but i'd be much more satisifed to just watch the birds

pwp requesting: it does need to be improved on. i'm currently working on earning more pwp's and it's difficult because most times the villagers won't immediately request it, even after doing the diving method. the game needs to have the villagers request pwp's more often

bell earning options: hmm, i'm pretty okay with how i'm earning money, but if there're other ways to do it that could be fun, then i'd say go for it!

Villagers ask for advice about outside of their house: me personally, i don't care too much about a villagers house, but i know there are people who do mind. i think this would be pretty cool, it gives you a bit more control! i can see the downside of it controlling the outcomes too much, some could make the argument that it takes away from the charm of the game, but idk, i certainly wouldn't mind!

villagers with bigger houses: this would be cool, that way you won't be the only person with the biggest house. i don't like how stagnent villagers houses are, so it'd be cool to have a system where the longer they're there, the bigger their house gets. i can see that coinciding with villagers asking about their houses; rather than it possibly be random, instead when their house is about to get bigger, they can ask you what colors they should implement, etc.

Some really awesome ideas here! I really like the idea of more storage, and of yard customisation. Your ideas for new villager species are cool too, though for some reason I’d prefer to see a snake as an NPC as opposed to a villager?

Sure more storage space would be necessary, especially because the new games will likely have more stuff to collect. Now you didn't talk about it here but a lot of people talk about a toolbox. I don't think having a toolbox would be good, sure it would be a bit more convenient but managing your inventory is kind of part of the game for me.

Bird watching I love! Hopefully Nintendo does too!

And I'd love the idea of a front and backyard. Hopefully they'll kind of make it like the Pocket Camp garden, maybe even let me grow fruit and veggies??? And allow me to cook with my own fresh crops??? PLSS???

I really like the idea of bird watching, actually~ That and front and back yards. I love that feature in HHD and it always makes me real sad that I can't put certain items in my front yard in NL.

Snake villagers aren't a bad idea at all. I don't know what you are talking about. And the PWP more often is a bad idea? Man, I am glad you are not in charge of this game.

I think if they make animal crossing for switch a guide book i?m going to get it for this one. Last time i bought a book was for cityfolk.

Pwps suggestions could be a rare reward for doing a task from a villager. Alongside regular random suggestions of course.

I love the birdwatching idea! I'm always a huge fan of the collection mechanics in AC, and that'd be a neat way to expand upon the musuem. This would also mean getting more tools. What I'm wondering is how the regular/silver/gold upgrades would work. I assume it'd be either a camera or binoculars (probably the latter). Perhaps with the higher tier binoculars your range/radius improves so it's easier to spot the birds? I think there are probably details to that mechanic that would have to be fleshed out but there's definitely potential there.

I really like these ideas, especially the yard design one. I always spent the most time in HHD making really pretty front yards and then taking 2 seconds to make an interior because I'd been doing interior's for my character on New Leaf for years now. I'd really like something like that in the switch, which also would be easily supportable with bigger villager houses.

I almost hate reading about all the great ideas people have because then I get excited for them and there's no way Nintendo can implement everything we want. Birdwatching as another collectible would so cool too, I'm always down for more stuff to collect. I like these ideas a lot.
