148 (Afternoon)Not much happened today in Somnus! Another day of tedious terraforming in the sides though. I will however give you guys an idea of what I'm working on!
While the Pokemon map is gone, it will be reterraformed into a residential area with lots of forest stuff.
The purple circle will turn into a tribute forest and to work with the fake valiant statue. it's an area covered with trees, mushrooms, purple and pink hyacinths, as a tribute to my dragonfae OC, Lupine. The twin hearts pond will be dismantled. near the foot of the elevated area will be soon to be Leif's establishment. It might possibly have a fairy ring with several mushroom items to decorate the area.
The red circle will be the museum's new location. The fountain will be relocated to the Residential Services plaza.
Also, pink hybrids are growing at the campsite! While not permanent (there will be mostly hyacinths and windflowers surrounding the campsite) it will stay until I can get rid of my island with the excess roses I have!
I also got one of my most desired objects in the game, Crescent-moon Chair! While I'm not yet sure where to place it (I'm focused on going hard with very foresty vibes) I might associate it with an upcoming islander based on my OC, Uomi. She's a fallen star who's practicing magic on Earth! (Later in her story, she actually turns into Polaris! Cool, huh!) She will also open up a fortune-telling shop (via Photopia) for the residents while Katrina is not in the game.
For her house, I might make a pocket area where she lives at the beach. She's originally sea-bound but apparently she can stay on land for the meantime! (PLOT ARMOR!)
Setting the plans aside, me and the gang went to see K.K.'s concert! I suggested Farewell! I'm actually focusing on getting the "unbuyables/unreorderables" in Nook Shopping.
Lastly, here's a photo of Cheri dozing off in front of the Able Sisters! Waiting for Cherry, perhaps?

日記お知らせ Another non-island update today, it's urgent and would like to inform that the event will be postponed until May 25th. I would like to focus on getting over terraforming of my island because I absolutely hate how tedious it is. LOL. Also, I will be posting less frequently due to the heatwave my country is experiencing as of the moment:
Earlier this morning it reached to 40°C. It was so excruciatingly hot that I could barely breathe and I've been feeling an influx of migraines due to extreme heat and humidity. While it lowered to 30°C this night, it's still severely hot and humid that I'm clinging to my dear life with a very old air conditioner to cool myself off (showering does not help, sadly.)
Other than that, I'll be fine! Thank you so much for tuning in and I'm so sorry for the inconvenience!

I really hate hot weather and thankfully the UK never really gets that hot until June/July - I'm struggling at the minute and it's only around 16 degrees haha! Keep hydrated and look after yourself ♡ ♡

日記お知らせ Hi everyone! Another semi-non-island update here! I'm working really hard on terraforming and starting to gather decors to test the style out!
Meanwhile, I'm also working hard on the upcoming event that I'm launching soon! Here's the banner teaser:
This event is possibly will be overwhelming for me (in the first few days) but I'll do my best to maintain it! (It's just 7 days anyways!)
What it is is a secret for now but I think this is something everyone might be happy to join in! I can't wait to share it with everyone!

日記お知らせ Hi! It's been a while since I have updated my journal and I'm so happy to see that my journal has reached 3k views! Seeing the support everyone has given me and people being inspired by this journey of ours (my islanders) is so heartwarming and honestly, makes me giddy!
I will post a montage of every photos that I collected while I was away and terraforming my island after this post! Also, I think it's safe to announce some details of the event I worked really hard on! (Since it's a week away from now!) I hope everyone will love it and will participate!

Named after Somnus's orange airport and one of the island rep's favorite songs, Orange Air-Line, Somnus is offering its airport to Island Representatives to be reunited with their most wanted villagers that they haven't found yet!
The cast of Somnus's transit islanders (nearly all available Amiibo villagers) are more than happy to go their permanent island get-away! More details will be announced two days before the event's release! Please look forward to it!
* This will be an established and permanent Somnus-exclusive customary event during special occasions (such as the upcoming wedding of Raymond and Marshal!)
To commemorate the arrival of the sea-bound star, Uomi, the gracious Polaris will be offering a two-part raffle event where everyone can participate in and also ones who participated in the Orange Airlines event! 5 chosen people will have a chance to win themed furniture and DIYs (part 1) and NMT (part 2)! The items will be announced two days before the event! Part 2 will not be released until June 7th (after Marshal and Raymond's wedding!)
* Star Blessings will be more of a rare, customary event in Somnus. This will be it's first launch to test the waters! If received well, it might be celebrated a day before New Year's Day and will be revamped to "North Star Festival" where everyone can participate and visit the island decorated in colorful star fragment pieces and every poster/island visitors will have a chance to win wishlist items or rare items!

I've brainstormed a lot to make the island interactive for others as well by implementing (potential) island-exclusive holiday (North Star Festival) and customary events (Orange Airlines)! More events and special holidays will be designated depending on how well-received the planned events are!
I would love to receive any feedback! My wording might be confusing so I would love to be pointed out if I made any mistakes!

日記お知らせ An update as of why I haven't posted my event nor posted recently: My friend is tested positive for Corona and I don't know how to cope quietly other than to take a break from things. I will still be holding the event but will be moved to June. I know it's not mandatory but I feel bad. I haven't been playing the game as often and just spent time with my friend.
I know it's kinda serious of a topic but I hope everyone can understand!
