I live in a city with about 70,000 people. I have been trying to find someone on street pass for the last week that I've owned animal crossing.

Despite this game being completely sold out city wide, on release day. I have yet to find a single person with street pass.

I take my 3DS with me everywhere, and I go out quite frequently. The mall, large shopping stores, any area with a lot of people... Nothing. This frustrates me probably more than it should, but why the heck can't I just fill my HH showcase with houses from the internet? Not everyone lives in a darn metropolis like Tokyo...

I think they are going to do internet ones they just haven't done it yet.

I also think people you visit/visit you should count and should show up in the showcase.

I've never taken my DS out with me.. though hopefully living in NYC means I'd find at least a few people if I were to go out haha. Unfortunate you haven't found anyone yet; guess most people just aren't interested in the feature. :/ A lot of my friends own the game and none of them seemed to show any interest in using StreetPass, so a lot of players might be that way.

I know that feeling, doesn't help when I see someone else playing it yet we (I) don't StreetPass. :/ They need to have it check a wee bit more often.

I know how you feel. I go out to places, hoping to streetpass, and then I come back home disappointed. If you're really desperate for streetpasses though, just go to a game store. If you live in the U.S. then go to gamestop. I went there to return my old 3ds and I got 3 streepasses. Unfortunately, none of them owned New Leaf... =/ But that was probably a day or 2 after the game was released, so you might have better luck than I did!

And of course, Nintendo stated that Streetpass was originally intended only for Japan. They came to an agreement to release this feature worldwide. I'm the same way, rarely see any streetpass tags. Only 1 person I tagged had the game. :/

LMAO you think you got it bad??? i live in a town of maybe 3500 people and everything is an hour or more away from where i live.. pffff please.......

I live in Chicago, a city of over 8 million people. Guess how many street passes I average in a given week? 1 every few days and its usually the same person.

70,000 people? Then maybe more AC fans where you stay just need to get out! Heck, I live in a town with less than 15,000 people and StreetPassed within 10 minutes of switching it on for the very first time. I was sat on a train coming from a larger town with under 30,000 people. That one person I StreetPassed with had been playing AC:NL too.

I don't really have a problem with streetpassing people but I understand how it feels to go out all day and look at your 3ds at night and not see a notification.

But this is my experience with streetpass.....

I live in Vancouver, Canada. I take mine out pretty much every day. I go to university and I have it on at school and during my 2 hour commute (both ways). I pass by the second largest mall when I go to and from school so when I get home, I usually have at least 4 streetpasses. I don't think my city is that big compared to like Hong Kong or Tokyo but we get a lot of tourists. I have gotten streetpasses from 3 regions in Japan and 1 from S. Korea.

This.

Streetpass wasn't made for anywhere except Japan where even if there aren't crowds people still often take their devices with them. The ONLY places, at least in the States, that you have a chance of getting decent Streetpasses are at conventions/any other geek thing. You're on your own otherwise.

They'll be changing it this fall.

Whenever you connect to a wireless hotspot, like at a McDonalds or something, your DS will send information to Nintendo's servers. Then, when people go to that same hotspot in the future, their information will 'streetpass' with your information, which is still on Nintendo's servers, attached to the same hotspot.

Somehow manage to pass some user named Jen.Idk how though...and it's true.Seems I pass by many people but I don't get any new houses in the HHA

I live in a medium sized town and I took my 3ds once to school. I got one streetpass, and I feel really lucky to have it! Such a shame it was the last day of school so I couldn't find out who it was.

I got a lot of StreetPasses last semester while on campus, but I have never got that many at home. Figures this game had to come out well after the end of the semester. =/

I live between 2 large secondary schools and have to walk by them all the time, and take my 3DS everywhere and only managed 1 streetpass. Thankfully they had NL so I have a merry little house in my showcase. xD

The only place where I get streetpasses is at school...but even then it's not very many...like 3-6 for me being there 12 hours D:
I can't wait until they implement the mcdonalds thing

Hurray Vancouver! :D
I get streetpasses from Japan too (at school mostly) DDDD: I wonder if it is the same people?

People outside of Japan don't really take their 3DS' about with them. I take mine on long drives because it racks up play coins, from bumps I guess. But I don't ever take it outside my vehicle. It's a very worthless feature outside of Japan.

I never take my 3DS XL out in public...It makes me look like a shop lifter, as it makes my pockets FAT... And fanny packs? Where I live, fany packs are for gay people
