Tattoos

This is what it looked like when I first got it 4 years ago.

My Tattoo.jpg

The signature is, of course, the signature of the tattoo artist who did it. She's called Enya Mahuta.

It doesn't look this amazing anymore, but, it still looks good.

I would like to fill my left arm for a half sleeve or a quarter sleeve, but when I have the ideas and money.

I like the style of this tattoo artist called Kelly Doty, and that's probably who I will get tattooed from next.

I don't have any, but I've always wanted one. The big thing that's been stopping me is social anxiety though. I also get afraid that if I talk to the tattoo artist and they say something I don't like, I'll just remember the bad conversation when I look at the tattoo, since I'd be carrying that artists' art with me. That being said, they look so cool...

Does anyone on this forum have tattoos? If so, I'd love to see them! I've got about six myself. I'm currently working on a full sleeve.

She's an onna-bugeisha... A lady samurai!

It's the ghostly woman from the Peony Lantern Japanese ghost story.

It's one of my favorite yokai, the chochin-obake... A sentient lantern

I'm doing a whole Japanese woodblock thing on this arm. I'm gonna add a whole bunch of my favorite yokai and floral symbols as well in order to take up space. It's just going very slowly because they're expensive. I get one for my birthday every year and that's all I get, lol.

Not showing my other 3 tattoos because I don't have pictures of them. One is just your standard nautical sparrow on my hip. Another is a giant illustration from Alice in Wonderland (the book!) on my back (the one where she's holding the drink me bottle). The last is my maiden name in Arabic script on my ribs.

Please show off your body art!

I don't think I can upload photos on here yet... I am new. But, I have two tattoos to my left, one on my wrist (the side where your palm is), which is a tattoo of a puppy paw, and just above it is the Greek word for kitten,
γατάκι.

Reasons behind my tattoos: I love puppies and kittens, the paw represents my childhood puppy who almost turned 10, but he got very sick. I'm extremely happy he's not in pain anymore. The Greek word for kitten represents my childhood kitten who is still alive and well today, but younger than my dog was. And my religion is Greek Mythology, but my family are agnostic atheists. (Plz don't judge me).

Hey, my advice is, if you have one twinge of doubt, and I mean one tiny twinge of doubt, get out of the parlour right then and there! Trust me, there are plenty of professionals, you just have to suss them out.

I have only one tattoo so far, but I?m definitely saving up to get more!
My current one right now is placed over my heart, it?s an old painting/ pictograph from an old birch bark scroll from 150 years ago. The painting was a journey of the Ojibwe chief of my Native American tribe in Wisconsin, and all other local chiefs, to Washington D.C.. The pictograph depicts how the chiefs all traveled together, with the same heart and mind, to meet with the president and discuss how forced relocation and reservations were destroying our people. Those chiefs all led by chief buffalo traveled all the way through the Great Lakes from Lake Superior to New York State in canoes, then took a train to Washington D.C.
I got it because chief buffalo just so happens to be my ancestor!

Here?s the tattoo (I just realized these two super old pictures are the only ones I really have of my tattoo! Plus there?s the real pictograph)

I do want to get another tattoo of a tornado on my arm since I have dreams about them a lot!

The only tattoo I have is a small stick and poke of the skyrim thieves guild symbol. I have multiple piercings, though! I have my ears stretched to 2 gauge, my left daith, my left helix, and a septum at 12 gauge. I'd like to get tattoos one day, as I love all forms of body modification, but the design would have to be absolutely perfect before I'd commit to permanently adorning my body with it.

I LOVE THIS!!! CORALINE IS MY FAVORITE!

My latest. Ignore the awful lighting and swelling, thanks. :p

I'd love to get a Tattoo either from Legend of Zelda or Akali (LoL).. but for Akali
there is like zero templates, so it's hard to figure out how it would look..

and anyways I have a heavy phobia of needles, so I don't think I'll ever have the courage
to do a tattoo q-q

I don't have any tattoos and not planning on getting any. I don't know, when I was younger, I imagine
once to maybe get one when I'm older, but after thinking about it, I decided to not getting any. I always
have the fear that I may start to not like it anymore one day and then stick with it forever. Sure, you may
be able to remove it, but let's face it, that would cost too much money and time. But I'm not against tattoos
or something and I must say everyone here in this thread who posted their tattoos have pretty cool ones.

I have a few. I've got an arrow and the pokemon A unown on each ankle, and a cubone skull and cactus on my shoulder. I'll probably get more, but that's it for now!

No tattoos for me but if I had money/time and a good artist I'd want to commit to a large back piece or sleeve with some kinda cohesive theme.

None for me as well. I just really don't want to hurt my skin, plus it's expensive in my opinion, but if everyone else wants to do it, then feel free. I don't really mind. :)

I currently have 5! I have a Zelda one, which was my first tattoo, a black cat on a floral moon (which the artist put on someone else so I have another tattooed booked in November to add to it/cover it up), Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service, Totoro and peonies on my right thigh.
My black cat was done in memory of my cat Jasper whom passed away at 2 and a half years old, I'm desperate to get this tattoo redone as it no longer has its original meaning due to some artist being desperate for money and completely disregarded my feelings. I will be having a larger cat on top of it all with flowers surrounding it, quite excited for it!
I've recently come up with an idea for an Animal Crossing tattoo which is Halloween themed but I won't be able to get it done until my cat on my arm is redone, boo.
As much as I HATE having my thigh tattooed I really want a Japanese fox with red touches and ribbon wrapped around its paws to signify how I used to do ballet, this will be by the same artist who's redoing Jasper :3

Note: Totoro will look darker in places I literally had it touched up yesterday so it may look a little patchy.

So many lovely tattoos!

I only have one right now. It's 5 birds on my wrist leading up my arm. I want to get more! I want to get blue porcelain flowers on my other arm and upper shoulder. My mom wants to get matching tattoos and my fiance and I also want to get matching tattoos. They can definitely be addicting once you get one!
