Are we going to start without the final player, or will the game be postponed? That is assuming no one joins today.

Edit: wrong green. Whatever,.

I don't understand why people post that they've got their PM. It's giving away unncecessary information.

Day 1

Karla retched and gasped for air as he found his bearings. He checked that all of his limbs were intact, then carried out an inventory check confirmed nothing had been lost. The air was chilly in Moscow, a reassuring sign that he had arrived at the correct time. It amazed him that the Soviet scientists got this time travel right, it would surely hasten the fall of Europe to red tide. But, he reminded himself, there was no way back for him and he had a mission to complete. Walking into the Red Square, he picked up a copy of Pravda. October 19th, 1917 was the date printed at the top. Good, thought Karla, the White movement was only just starting up. Crushing them now would be easy with the knowledge he possessed.

River walked through the Red Square pushing a cart. The only good Russian was a dead Russian, she repeated to herself. Concealed inside the cart was a backpack carrying a rather large bomb. She knew where the Bolshevik central committee would be meeting today, and intended to make her presence known. Elsewhere, Karla was scouting for a location to set up his base of operations. Contacting the Bolsheviks directly would be dangerous and largely fruitless. He had to set up his own network, something he was adept at. After all, why else would Moscow Centre choose him for this mission. He caught sight of this woman pushing a cart. At first glance it was nothing out of the ordinary - just a member of the workers' class selling her wares. But there was something off. Her hands did not look like hands that had done much manual labour. The way she walked again did not match the persona she was projecting. To top it off, she was walking away from the marketplace, with what seemed like a full cart of goods.

Karla tracked River to a small building where she took the backpack and ditched the cart. He knew exactly where she was going and what her intentions were. Moving through an alleyway, he momentarily lost sight of her. As he rounded a corner, a knife came flying out of nowhere. Karla instinctively blocked her arm, stopping the knife point a mere inch from his throat. He barely had time to recover when she launched another attack. He managed get past the knife and tackled her to the ground, grappling with her to try and wrest away control of the knife. "What arrogant audacity you counter-revolutionaries have," Karla snarled. She replied equally as vehemently, "I'm no Russian dog! I fight for the freedom of Finland." This surprised Karla momentarily, giving her the opening to break free. She lunged at him again with the knife. Karla clicked the heel of his shoe and a knife sprung out from the front. The longer reach the shoe knife gave him let him strike her in the thigh before she even came close. River gave a cry of pain and collapsed to the ground. Karla drew a punchdagger from his waist belt and advanced to finish her off, until he saw her plunge her hand into the backpack. He cursed as he realised what she was going to do and ran. He ran back around the corner, the building shielding him from most of the blast. It was still enough to throw him to the ground, and to cause a partial collapse of the building onto him.

Karla woke to voices, finding himself lying on the ground in some building which he quickly identified as the Lubyanka. One of the men nearby, an obvious Bolshevik, noticed him and walked over. "The spy awakes," the man announced to the others. He was picked up and thrown onto a chair. A smartly dressed man, clearly an officer, sat opposite him. "You are guilty of counter-revolutionary activities. The attempted bombing of loyal Bolsheviks. The sentence is clear, take him to the basement." Karla opened his mouth to reply, but realised it was futile. He had no papers, hell he wouldn't even be born for another 10 years. His KGB, descendant of the Cheka wouldn't be formed for another 37 years. He always knew that it would be practically impossible to extricate himself if he was ever captured. Karla resigned himself to his fate, and with his hands bound, was led to the basement of the Lubyanka to be shot.

River the Finno-Anarchist blew herself up.

Karla the KGB Colonel was executed.

You now have 44 hours to elect the leader of your Revolution. The candidate with the most votes by the deadline will be elected.

Good afternoon, everyone.
I am hoping for a good revolution, from me to you. Obviously, we now are looking for people to step up as candidates for the Revolution. I am hoping all the candidates will provide good arguments and are ready for a great game. I am definitely, at the moment, not stepping up, but maybe we will see what happens later.
имейте хороший день.

I am running for Mayor as I believe that I am well suited for the role and can strongly benefit town. I am in no way asking any of you to trust me when I say that I am sided with town. The Mayor role just gives me night protection. Which, to be honest, if I were mafia, I wouldn't need at all. You all can still lynch me whenever and if ever you feel I am suspicious.

However, in this version of the game, the voting is set up differently. It uses a majority lynch. Which means once a player gets enough votes, Day is over; there is nothing you can do after that. My vote, when you think about it, still counts twice for this game. But if the majority does not agree with me, then it doesn't really mean anything. In all honesty, I don't have as much power over you guys as mayor as you may think I do. There is no reason to worry about electing scum for mayor. Besides, I think I made it pretty clear in game III how I play as scum. Being mayor wouldn't change my behavior, so you'll will still be able to pick up on it.

In order to tackle the Day 1 lynch, I will hear what everyone has to say and we'll decide on a victim together. I'd look to target the Anti-Town players or lurkers for the Day 1 Lynch as that will help keep inactivity out of the thread.

I encourage PM circles, but don't just randomly trust someone with you role. PM'ing someone from the start to work with them is fine to hear their input, but revealing your role to them is possible suicide. Wait on doing so until after you have evidence on them. This works both ways.

I present to you, my plan:
Townies:You guys aren't really anything too special, to be honest. You are expendable and thus shouldn't be afraid to put your voice into the thread. The purpose of the game isn't to survive to the end, it's to allow your side to win. Put yourself out there and gain information from other players and announce your own opinions.

Vigilantes:Since I have been a Vig for two games now, I'll tell you what I always do. However, there is a new twist this game in that you may have more than one shot. If you get more than one shot, I would advise you to shoot lurkers with one of those shots. Again, we need to eliminate inactivity from the thread. After the Day Post is up, publicly announce who you shot at.

What I did in the past games, however, was PM someone right off the bat telling them I was a vig. It may be good to PM two people. My reasoning for doing this was that I know that with a shot in my hand, I am also an asset to the mafia. Working with another player can show me who they are coaxing me into killing and who they think it would be better to just back off from. Depending on what they say and the outcome of the shot, it is very possible to determine that person's alignment.

Detectives:You guys are in luck this game. The only roadblocks you face this time is the Godfather and the Millers. However, you also can only view alignment and not the actual role. Start checking the suspicious people and names that have been brought up for the lynch. Without the Framer, there is no tampering that will be done beforehand. Chances are you will find several townsfolk before striking red. So hopefully you were able to build up a circle and can then voice to them about your red discovery.

Masons:You guys already know who each other are and can fully trust one another right off the bat. I recommend you starting communicating with one another. Don't be afraid to stray from your circle and communicate with others. Just be careful not to give up the names of the other masons.

Doctors:Protect the people who contribute, are leaders, and the ones who are actually making sense. If your protection of that person was confirmed, then start communicating with them outside of the thread. You can pretty much always trust them. Keep in mind you cannot protect the masons

Veterans:You guys are just a mega-Townie. You should still put yourself out there, working even harder than the Townies because you have two lives. If you are ever shot at, publicly announce it and say if that you lost a life or something to signify that you are a Veteran. Just because you were shot once, doesn't mean you be shot the next night. In fact, this is almost never the case. Depending on WHO you are, the mafia will not find it worth it to shoot at you again, as they will know you are a Veteran. They know you aren't a valuable blue and will avoid killing you until it is worth it.

##VOTE: Superpenguin

Thoughts, questions, critiques, anything?

After careful planning, and a few rewrites, I will now post my official post announcing my candidacy for mayor. I've been known to be quite a bit of an interesting character in Mafia games past. For example, in Mafia I, I was a simple townie who was killed by the mafia so that they would frame 3DSfan134 for lynch. In Mafia II, I was a detective killed by the mafia on Night 3. In Mafia III, I was in said mafia. The mafia and I, in this game, while we lost, managed to confuse to the town for the first few days, making them think didn't really know who was who. This caused confusion in the town. In Mini Mafia, I finally managed to survive until the end of the game.

Now, why should you vote for me as mayor? It's simple, really. While I am fairly quick to judge people, and make assumptions, I have been getting better at Mafia. In Mini Mafia, during a PM exchange with Superpenguin, while I made a few false assumptions, I certainly didn't trust him entirely, even though I probably should have Trust is the top priority in my campaign. I would like to be able to believe everything I am told, whether it be from the NKVD Officer rolecheck you give me, or your claims that someone killed over the night was your Cheka Commissar shot. I can and will look back through previous games and meticulously comb over your posts to see if your behavior under a certain role in the past game matches up with your behavior under a certain role in this game.

On that note, I'm sure some of you reading this are wondering that exact same thing. I haven't been known to make long drawn out posts on the levels of Karla. However, I'm working on becoming a better Mafia player, and this is part of that process. I'm also hoping to regularly PM a few trusted users about who I suspect, though this would be after the first night, after Mafia kills are submitted, as I currently do not suspect anybody.

So, to sum up my campaign, you should vote for me as I intend on building trust amongst the townies, something I believe to be extremely important. Protecting the lives of our fellow revolutionaries is much more important in this game, especially with the voting method being changed to 50% majority instead of "whoever got the most votes". Simply leaping on the inactives just won't cut it anymore. How many times have we lynched an inactive, only to find out they're a townie?
