i'm actually more familiar with gimp but i prefer photoshop. i just have to learn how to use it properly

I'm a Photoshop person. The main reason being that I took Graphic design class back in high school and thus know how to use photoshop. I did try out Gimp but I found it rather confusing to use. But I'm sure that if I put in more time then I'd get it.

In actuality though, I use neither. Rather I use this free photoshop-like online site called Pixlr and it's fantastic. It's literally photoshop. I don't use it that often since I'm not an artist nor a designer so therefore I have no reason to drop $500+ on something like that. But if you do need it, and can't pay for it, then I highly recommend Pixlr!

Dude, where's team both?

I like both. There's somethings, believe it or not, Gimp has that Photoshop doesn't or if it does, it actually, believe it or not (again), isn't as good as Gimp. Shocking, right?

The only thing i like about Photoshop is the quality of the images and its settings for quality as well as its easy Animation bar.

photoshop for everything.
MSpaint for pixelling

never used gimp because you can do everything and more on photoshop

Sorry about a lack of Team Both. GIMP isn't very good for animated images, I will agree. I think some plugins can improve it a little but I've just put up with the standard stuff. Not sure what's better about image quality as I think GIMP is a little more advanced in terms of export settings, minus the option for lossless JPEG.

I use Photoshop for pretty much everything graphic related. I work with a lot of animated gifs and such so Photoshop is pretty good for that. There are still tons of features I haven't even made use of and I feel like there's so much more to learn using Photoshop.

I've never personally used GIMP, but a lot of my friends used to like it. I voted Photoshop.

I used to use a free programme, Photofiltre, before going to Photoshop. Photofiltre was the programme I started learning the basics on, and I got so used to it after a couple years and never wanted to change. Then I realised it was really primitive compared to GIMP or Photoshop, and ended up switching to PS. The tutorials, resources and techniques available for PS are so wide ranged, so it didn't take much at all to learn how to use PS (and still learning to this day haha). Photoshop makes it so much easier for animations as well, especially PS CC. Photoshop does everything I need personally, so I've never needed to use anything else.
