Teeth

I had braces in middle school so my teeth are pretty straight and they’re relatively white. I wish they were whiter but I’m definitely not insecure about them, I never even really think about my teeth tbh. I know a few people who are self conscious about their teeth and I really feel for them, it would be a difficult thing to feel insecure about.

Teeth are not a big focus in the uk. In fact I think British people are meant to be notorious for their imperfect teeth. I used to have a gap in my front teeth, but it closed on its own. People tell me my teeth are very white, but I dunno, I think they're just normal, especially compared to say Americans who all seem to have perfect dazzling teeth haha. I have some chips in my canines cos my mum whacked my head against the bath when I was a kid. They're not super obvious beyond looking flat instead of pointy.

I got my wisdom teeth very early and one will still give me trouble every few months. I wish they would just remove it. I've never had a filling or anything on my teeth ever.

My teeth aren’t perfect but they were close to it after I had braces and contraptions, and a retainer once they were removed in 7th grade. I grew out of the habit of putting in the retainer quickly making it useless. In hindsight, it was a bad time to have braces because I wasn’t motivated or mature enough to take care of them. Kicking myself for it now. I also had my wisdom teeth taken out in high school and I’m still amazed that procedure went as well as it did.

I’m at the point where getting braces again would correct a couple of things but don’t want to foot the cost twice. They don‘t look terrible and I don’t think about it until seeing pictures of myself smiling with teeth. They sometimes look a lot worse than they actually are depending on the angle: one of my incisors caves in slightly on the top and the bottom row has a few ‘ rocky’ ones. I’m still fortunate to have what I do though!
