tell me about your pets !

I have two cats, a six year old female named Mallory, and an eight month old male named Royal. I adopted Mallory in 2017 after volunteering at a local humane society, and the same with Royal in 2020.

I really enjoy these types of thread and getting to see everyones lovely pets 🥰 I've spoken about my 5 pets few times before but I'll always happily take the opportunity to talk about them more.
The oldest is Freddie who is my 8 year old Blenheim (brown and white) King Charles Spaniel and is like a big teddy bear. We already had two family dogs, both spaniels, Dougal (black, white and tan) and Dylan (ruby) and there wasn't really any plan to add another one to the mix when my mum asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I asked for a puppy. This request was kind of laughed off but my mum did say she'd ask my dad, who'd previously said we were having no more pets, so it came as a complete shock to us all, and probably a bit of an annoyance to my 3 siblings that hadn't had the initiative to ask for a pet, when he agreed. For a very long time I'd always wanted to have a Blenheim spaniel named Sniffles (not really sure where the name had come from) so that was the dog we looked for and from my mums research we found a very reputable breeder who'd recently had a litter and when I held my little puppy in the palm of my hand for the first time I was instantly in love. Obviously I had a change of heart on the name from Sniffles to Freddie but 8 years later he is now a bigger, just as loveable, friendly member of the family and the best Christmas present I've ever (and probably will ever) receive ❤
The next two are Harley (my 5 year old cream and white Maine coon) and Hugo (my sisters 4 year old blue tabby Maine coon), a lot of people are wary of them when they first meet them due to their size but people that know them know they are just loveable giants. They are from separate litters but they're actually brothers (they have the same mum) but they don't really have a lot of love for each other. Harley is more independent and loves the summer when he can enjoy the long days outside where as Hugo is a complete home body who you could easily pick up for a big cuddle, he seems to prefer the human attention during the day. When it comes to nighttime though their personalities completely change, Harley loves sleeping on a bed cuddling up next to someone where as Hugo loves to run wild. They're both complete characters with really big hearts :giggle:
Mabel is my 3 year old ruby cockapoo who often looks like a big teddy bear, loves attention and manages to make everyone who meets her fall in love. We'd often talked about getting another dog (by this time we no longer had Dougal and Dylan 💔) and were leaning towards a cockapoo due to their loving natures but hadn't fully committed. A complete nightmare time came up though when I had a routine trip to hospital due to a long term health problem and blood results ended up with a very quick admittance to ICU, I'd never liked hospitals or needles but in a very short space of time I had to deal with doctors, needles and wires everywhere. It was an awful time where I was either completely out off it sedated or getting absolutely no peace from the noise off the machines, I was told while there that they were some of the worst blood results they'd ever seen in the hospital. Everyone kept telling me how strong I was while I was in the hospital but when I went home I was an emotional wreck. My parents knew I'd passed a lot of the time when I made it to the ordinary ward looking online at cockapoos and when I was back home and struggling it was decided that we'd get the often discussed new addition to the family. I'd fallen in love with Mabel the first time I saw her and she must've felt the same as the first day I met her she came straight over to me and curled up in my lap the whole time. She is a bit of a princess and always wants the most attention but she's also the most happy to have human company and will cuddle up with everyone. I love all my pets equally but she will always hold a special place in my heart for getting me through the hardest time in my life.❤
Finally we have Isla my 9 month old loveable blue mitted rag doll, for a long time we'd discussed getting another cat (we've always had at least one cat in the house for my whole life and most of the time we've had multiple cats around) as we live in a very safe area and we felt our two Maine coons were at the right age to welcome a new addition. With a search around we found a highly reputable breeder quite close to us and prepared ourselves for a long wait due to how popular she was with people looking for a Ragdoll but Isla came round a lot sooner then we expected. She had been the smallest in her litter so for a long time there was no plan to sell her but as she got bigger and found to be completely healthy by the vets we were offered her as the breeder wanted her to be somewhere she'd have a fully loving home and be well looked after. Since moving in she has become a complete one-person cat and loves following me everywhere and snuggling up. She also loves playing with Hugo and Mabel and dragging all her toys around the house. She's not a huge fan of the outdoors (and really hates the snow at the moment) but I'm always happy to know she's completely content to snuggle up at home in the warm with us :giggle:

This got really long so as everyone can probably see I could write a book about my pets 😂 I have posted photos before but I'll put them all in the spoilers below.

aww thank you 🥰 5 can be a bit of a handful, especially when it comes to feeding time, but I wouldn't have it any other way:giggle:
your dogs are both adorable, I love how content they are with each other in your photo, one of my friends has a Bichon frise and hers is full of energy too. It's always so hard saying goodbye to a lovely pet, they're like part of the family, but I'm pleased to see that you and Cookie got to have many happy years together ❤

Oh. My. Goodness. I think this is my favourite thread ever! Look at all these adorable pets oh my gosh 🥺🥺💕💕💕

I have two kitties! @Plume did such a lovely job drawing them for me to use as a signature 🥰 Contrary to what the signature portrays though they do not get along. :(

I think in their hearts they were both meant to be solitary cats, lol. But we found the longer haired one outside a few summers ago and she was so small and skinny we couldn’t just leave her.

We brought her in and it was supposed to be “just for a bit” but we’ve kept her since! She’s really shy and timid and does not like being picked up. She’ll come over for pets and she licks my hand a lot though! She’ll also sit with me on my bed she just won’t come super close and that’s okay. She’s got the cutest little meows tho she sounds like a little baby.

My other kitty loves to cuddle! I mean she won’t sit on my lap either, lol. But she’ll squish herself next to me if I’m sitting in my chair and purr so loud. She loves to go for drives, too! She’s a bit more sassy with her attitude lol but I love her to bits. She rarely meows and when she does it’s this sort of raspy sounding one? Catches me by surprise every time lol. Usually she just opens her mouth like she’s talking but no sound comes out.
by the drawings ur kitties look so adorable !! im afraid my cat my be solitary as well lol. we want to get another one but shes been alone her whole life so im not sure how she will react. mine doesnt like being picked up either lol. shes very moody but she will come to me to lay on my chest or the bottom of my bed. either way cats are the cutest ^^

So many lovable fur babies! ♥♥♥

I share my life with 2 cats. Charlie is mostly white with black tabby markings on his head and tail. I rescued him as an 8 month old kitten from a barn. He wasn't even 2 pounds at that age and had a bad respiratory infection and herniated kidney that popped out under his skin. Thanks to a good vet and lots of TLC and groceries, he's now a reasonably healthy cat and will turn 3 years old in May. He'll likely always have asthma though.

Suzie is my peppy 10 month old kitten. She's black spotted tabby and white and quite feisty and mischievous. She has a big cowlick on her nose between her eyes. Unlike calm, lazy Charlie, she's constantly into things. Even peels wallpaper off the wall. 😼😈 She did catch a live mouse in the house a couple weeks ago though so she's earning her keep.

my cat is named bentley!!! he is a three year old and very lovable. the story how we got him is pretty sweet too, we went to the shelter to find a companion cat for our other cat (that we dont have anymore). we looked around this whole room and were so overwhelmed, but bentley here decided to jump on a box right next to my gf and try to paw at her side, and they told us "oh thats berkley (i misread his original name and he only comes to bentley now), hes been here for over a year now." we couldnt adopt him fast enough. that was october of 2018 and hes been by our side ever since!

I have a cat that looks like the one in my signature, it's a little cat who thinks she is a ninja; her favorite past-time is hiding, running and bouncing on the walls (seriously) climbing and "floor is lava". She's not meowing but let out excited little squeaks once in a while. I don't have a photo because she can't stay still and goes hide or run away all the time.

I have two cats, Boo and Rat, names courtesy of my dad. My family adopted Boo from a rescue when she was about two—it's hard to see in most of the pics, but she's missing most of her tail after apparently having seriously injured it as a kitten. She's a super sweet and docile cat; her favorite hobbies are sleeping and eating. We got Rat a few years ago when he was a feral kitten. He's very sweet when he wants to be. When he doesn't want to be, he's a little nightmare who thinks it's funny to knock my drink into my seat. He'll actually steal things from my mom's purse and hide them under the couch if she leaves it sitting around, too. Oh, and he lets you know that he's done being petted by biting you. His favorite hobby is attacking Boo while she's trying to sleep.

Here's Boo after having stolen my blanket.

And here's the little man, looking very dapper.

A rare picture of the two of them snuggling.

Apologies for the terrible lighting, but here's the two of them with my dear departed pupper, Princess. Also counts as a kitten pic of Rat. Speaking of kitten pics...

Here's the little devil right after we first got him. He was incredibly cute and also gave me incredibly persistent ringworm.

The most my girlfriend and I (mostly my vet-tech girlfriend’s pets) had at one time were 17 pets. Sadly down to 10 now (fallen rat empire). Anyway, wanted to post the most unique one this post may have seen. Meet the 2.2 pound male African pixie frog, Jabba the Hopp. (Named after Jabba the Hutt.) Here he’s in his feeding bucket and must have been buried under his dirt prior. Most of the time he’s in his water-half of the tank. He can live up to 30 years.

The other 9: 2 cats, 5 guinea pigs, 1 rabbit, 1 rat.
Passed away in 2020: 1 hedgehog, 6 rats.
Once the little guys go: English bulldog.

I have 3 Chihuahua mixed Dogs.

Hans. He is my smallest and youngest at 7 pounds. He is short haired, black with mittens, white chest, and an angel mark and a white line down his face. His legs are brindled brown and black.
An angel mark is a white spot on the back of a dog's head/neck. Has he has gotten older, he has developed white eyebrows and a white snout. I can see his face growing white. He is seven years old. We got him when he couldn't even walk yet. He was the only black pup from 6 or 7 litters. He was in the last litter as the breeder was not going to continue anymore. Hans was the runt and was bottle fed. His siblings were double his size. He is a Chihuahua Jack Russel Havanese mix. Loves to cuddle and sleep on you. He does get bursts of hyper energy. He is the baby of the family.. and acts like it.

Buddy. He was the second dog we got but also my oldest and largest. He weighs in at 12 pounds. He is chunky. Loves food. He is blonde color with a pink nose. We got him when he was two years old from a foster agency. He is now eight years old. He acts very cat like. Loves to sleep in windows and in the sun. Has the bad habit on climbing on everything that exists just like a cat. He is vocal and loves to play. He does not bark constantly. None of my dogs do. He does like to kick, so he isn't fun to cuddle with sadly. But he does like to lay beside you and likes his head petted. He is a pretty lively dog. He sounds like a million horses running through the house. He gets bursts of energy throughout the day and goes crazy running around. He doesn't like any kind of smashed faced dog. He goes berserk if he sees one. He is a Chi-weenie. Chihuahua Doxin-(Weiner Dog)

Snowball. She is the third dog and last dog we got. We decided to get a third dog due to Buddy picking on Hans horribly. So we found snowball. She is a firecracker. And Buddy mellowed out alot since we have gotten her. She is the same age as Hans, but a few months older. She is seven years old. We got her when she was 4 years old from a shelter. She is super fluffy and white. She has a very light cream color on her back. She weights about 10 pounds and normal weight. She is very vocal while playing or when she wants something. She loves blankets and her favorite toy is a tiny lambchop plush. Lampchop the character. She carries it around all the time. Buddy likes to steal it from her and tease her with it. She is the boss of the house. Very demanding. She also doesn't like other dogs. When introduced to other dogs she makes weird faces at them and doesn't let them around anything. She runs ahead of them and lands on whatever she thinks they are going for like a dog bed or food bowl and barks at them. She loves to play just like Buddy. She is also a loud tooter. She does have a condition to where she develops bladder stones, but that is under control with a prescription. We haven't had issues since! She also has a condition where her joints pop in and out of placement so you have to be careful picking her up and playing with her. She is a Pom-chi. Pomeranian Chihuahua

My cat is named Stella, she's about 3 years old, and we adopted her from a foster rescue. She goes crazy for pretty much everything, especially plastic. And ribbon. She's super talkative and and loves to hunt bugs.
I also have a cat named Panda that still lives with my parents. I miss him a ton, and I struggled for a while with the question of bringing him with me, but concluded that he already has a good home with my parents and it would be selfish to take him from it. ._.

the only ones i ever had were goldfishes and betta fishes when i was a kid. i think i had a total of 10 growing up but i didn't really know how to care for them. all of them died in the same way: during the summer when heat waves approached.

I have a kitty, her name is Bia but we always call her “micia” which is a cute name to call kitties in Italian. It has tiger grey hair and under the chin the hair is white. A man whose cat had just made a puppy gave it to us for free last year in June and we loved her right from the start😽
