Scroll through this thread to find new villagers that you may end up really liking! Also, reply with any lesser-known villagers you enjoy as your neighbors🙂

So I know there’s a few threads appreciating hated/underrated and popular villagers, but I wanted to make a thread centered around villagers that no one really knows about. I hope this can help some people find some new favorites!

I just discovered Astrid and Peaches.

I think they’re both very cool and unique with their designs and I would love to have them on my island!

i’d say keaton, but i feel like he’s kinda known and i see people talking about him unlike those 2. unlike the “hated” villagers, they have people talking about them because they don’t want them or simply because ugly villagers are sometimes a hot topic and it gets attention. there are cute villagers that people just don’t talk about because sadly they’re not famous or known.
 
I'm with you on Astrid, I think she's pretty cool and her aesthetic/preferences aren't typical of snooties. This makes her dialogue seem rather off in this game, but I definitely enjoyed her while she stayed on my island.

Having most of the villagers' names and likenesses memorized, picking out the "unknown" ones is a little difficult for me. I always thought Sparro was pretty cool-looking. Jacques too. The bird villagers in general aren't well-known it seems. Midge, Twiggy, Piper, Anchovy, Jay... seems like Jitters is the only one who makes waves because his is the face of substance abuse

How about Gabi the rabbit? She very quickly gets overshadowed by Chrissy, Bunnie, Ruby, etc but she's adorable in her own right. Just give her a different shirt oof

Hamphrey the hamster has a pretty neat aesthetic. He's suitably cute for a cranky. His picture quote high-key turned me off from him ("Children should be seen and not heard") but, like, if you put that aside...

Agent S and Big Top never get as much attention as Kid Cat and it's sad
 
Astrid is great!

I have her on my island, and am so glad I found her on a mystery island (I actually found her on my final NMT when I'd spent 20+ looking for a single snooty villager!).

I love her design (although the picture you posted of her in that starry top does her no favours!), and she's great to have around.

Sally! I feel like she is one of the more unpopular/unknown squirrels, but I just love her colour scheme and she is really sweet. However, she is a normal villager so is overshadowed by many "cuter" ones. Love her!

I came across Peaches during island hopping last week, and had never seen her! She looks cool, and her eyes are really unique :D

Honestly all the eagles are great and are overshadowed by Apollo
 
Bettina the mouse. I met her on a mystery island and I regret not taking her. I had Peaches in one of the previous versions of the game, I for get which, and I really liked her.

WHAT does Hamphrey’s catchphrase mean lmao

Also I love Big Top! He’s probably in my top 10 favorites
 
Pudge looks like he could be Stiches's twin. i like him.
Does sparro count as unknown? because he's my favorite villager of all time.

I love Peaches! Was one of my villagers on an older version of the game. So was Merry.
