Can wi-fi ratings be used for other online play like Smash or Mario Kart?

According to the rules, the ratings are only for use with Animal Crossing related interactions or forum bell transactions.
Feedback System
  • General Principles
The feedback system is used on The Bell Tree for Animal Crossing online gameplay, Animal Crossing transactions, and forum bell transactions. Feedback should only be given for legitimate reasons. A negative rating should not be made as a response to feedback itself. Illegitimate ratings can be reported to the moderators and abuse of the feedback system may result in suspension.

How do you add fun things to your BellTree sidebar? I see people listing their villagers and island name for instance

I'm trying to figure out how to insert a video. What's the minimum size for one?

It's only 4 minutes long, and I tried various resizing tools but nothing Is working

What are you using to try and insert it? That would be the main question before assistance can be offered.

If you're using YouTube, you'd have to end the link with [ / video ] (no spaces) in order for it to show.

If you're using the site's video-inserter itself, that'sssss a bit more tricky and I think it only allows up to a certain length of videos to be added.

I know it isn't exactly what you're asking, but in order to upload a recent Fire Emblem video I posted, I first had to convert it into a gif, post it on Imgur, and then use the "message board" link and copy and paste it in order to get the video to show. That one was only around 15 seconds long though. Not sure if Imgur supports full-length videos, but given that it's an image-hosting site and not a video-hosting site, my guess is not.

Hi! You can input your island name, friend code etc in your profile settings! There you can also change the username title that appears under your name 😊

If you refer to the small colourful pictures some people have in their sidebar, they are called collectibles and you can buy those in the shop (linked here) or from other users in the marketplace . You will need the forum currency bells (often abbreviated to tbt around here) to purchase collectibles from the shops or users. You earn bells by posting and interacting with the threads on the forums.

If you have any more questions you can also send me a private message, I’m happy to help. Have fun around the forums!

I’m new here, so sorry if this a vague question, but how does this website work? I’m a bit confused on everything, so any tips would be appreciated.

Hi, and welcome to The Bell Tree! A good place to start would be the FAQ thread which covers most commonly asked questions, but please feel free to ask if you need further clarification on anything. :)

can you still get seashells? I'm still trying to change my name, and the price of it for bells is a lot.

I sent some TBT your way! I was holding onto it, but wasn't really sure what I was going to save it for, so I decided to help out. Enjoy your new username! ^^

Hi, I want to know when the December birthstone is being added. Thanks in advance.

so this thread already exists:

but the last post in there is from over a year ago. I'm wondering if it would be okay for me to make a new one? I really love discussing mental health, giving my own experiences and perspectives and hearing others'. I'd like it to be an open and safe space for people to talk about what they live with and how they cope, as well as giving resources and personal accounts for mental health awareness. this is actually a special interest of mine so I do quite a bit of personal research on it, and I'd like to think my experience and desire to be proactive about mental health could help many others.

it would certainly be more helpful and organized if I could start a new thread for it, but I want to make sure that it would be okay for me to do that first.

Remaking the thread in a more organized format would be fine! However, it would be important to stress that although we encourage users to support one another, asking for/giving medical advice of any kind isn't something that should take place on TBT. Linking to resources such as counseling hotlines/chats would be okay, but suggesting medications/supplements, offering personal counseling, or anything beyond sharing one's own experiences should always be left to licensed professionals in a therapeutic setting.

Bearing the above in mind, you're welcome to create a new thread. :)

Is there a way to have text next to a picture without there being a table (AKA a feint outline around everything)?

I did not think it was possible but I saw someone with a centered picture, with a picture to the right and text under that picture. I didn’t take a screenshot and I’m lowkey mad at myself for not since it would’ve been much easier to explain.

Here’s my terrible mock-up of what I’m talking about. And the person didn’t have any feint box since that’s the first thing I looked for, lol.

I think I understand what you're asking and yes, there is! The first thing you need to know is that the way to get images aligned to the left or right without using a table is by using the following tags: [img align=left][/img] or [img align=right][/img]. Alternatively, if you use the WYSIWYG editor and click on the image, you'll see an alignment option on the very left of the options that pop up:

Then naturally text is aligned using the following tags: [left][/left], [right][/right], or [center][/center]. Alternatively, you can press the alignment option in the WYSIWYG editor:

For what you're describing, here's something I quickly put together that achieves what your mock-up is presenting:

Code:
[img height=215px align=right]https://i.imgur.com/OQmQyHC.png[/img][center][img height=245px]https://i.imgur.com/gI6aTQM.gif[/img][/center][right]Signature by [url=https://www.belltreeforums.com/threads/finished-tysm-3c.621218/]Zane[/url] (center)[url=https://www.belltreeforums.com/threads/mistreils-doodles.490056/]Mistreil[/url] (right)[/right]

Hopefully it's now clear how you'd achieve a signature like that! If not just lmk and I'll try to explain further!
