When looking at the "What's new" section, is there a way to see only new threads? I know you can see new posts but that often shows older threads, is there a filter to only see new ones?

I don't know if this helps you but right here there is a filter button and you can adjust and save your preferences for the "what's new" section. I'm sorry if I misunderstood your question

I do know about the filters but it seems I can't search by only seeing new threads. By new threads I mean recently created threads. I've been wondering this for a while and maybe the best way is just by looking at unanswered threads but I thought I'd ask. Thank you tho!

Yes, If you only want to see brand new created threads I would suggest filtering by only unanswered threads. Then threads that have already been answered won't pop up in your feed anymore

Does anyone know why something I posted has got 'Awaiting Moderator approval'? It was nothing rude or inappropriate, as far as I can tell! I've never had it before on anything I've posted.

You're all good! There was a question about whether the hint you gave may have been too direct or not, so one of the other mods put it in the approval queue until I could take a look at it. You didn't do anything wrong. 😊

I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for making that one post that was deleted. I was just mad about something and I shouldn't have posted it. I'll make sure to not to do something like that again.

I feel like the bumping rules are a bit imperfect. One rule says that you can only bump a trading thread once every four hours. But some threads that have been inactive for that long can, and has been, in the top five or ten threads with latest posts. Do you think there should be an update where you have to both wait four hours and wait until your post falls from the first page from a particular forum?

The reason why I ask this is because I’ve been impatient with my thread bumping, and I’m not breaking any rules.

My guess as to the reason waiting until your post falls off the main page isn’t implemented is because basically you could get into a bump war trying to keep it on the main page. It gives other threads equal opportunity to be featured towards the top. Four hours may seem long, but it’s a pretty reasonable length of time. Too much soon, and you’d still end up with a bump war problem.

Fair point, but I was suggesting that both conditions must meet in order for a thread to be bumped.
  • Thread must be inactive for at least four hours.
  • Thread can’t be on the first page of results.
Even if the thread isn’t the most recent thread, people can still find it easily because it’s on the first page of results.

Might be a dumb question but where is everyone getting these animated avatars with their cute little character reaching out for an item on a table? They're so cute!

What’s going on with the staff tags? I’m seeing “Admonishment”, “Moderately”, “Project Stuff”, and a few other weird ones.
