I think it's a delicate balance. I don't want to make reads that don't contribute much or don't have anything compelling behind them but I also don't want to keep you waiting because, as you said, there is pressure on me. However, I almost feel like taking time on the reads is more indicative that I'm trying to formulate them myself. Asking someone else who to blame and coming up with one or two things to pin it on takes a lot less effort than actually trying to contribute.

Like I said, I get being circumspect and wanting to contribute actual reads. but what I've learned during my short time on TBT is that it's better to have more confidence in your reads and adjust them as needed. If it was an issue of not having your reads complete, I'd be a little bit more lenient on you. But no, it appears you have your reads all ready to go. So what's the hold up? Put them up and let the discussion take its course. That's what you'd do if you were town.

My suggestion: the first step towards you staying in this game is getting your reads up asap. Even then, you may still get mass voted since you're clearly the top vote target right now, for good reason. But if you want your scum buddies to have a chance, then put them up and stop waiting for them on quicktopic

His interactions with Aron look a distancing thing between the two and his posts towards Evan could possibly be similar to what Toad and Ness did to Evan in the previous game. One is in support of me while the other is against me.

I'm not Toad or Ness. I don't feel all that compelled to be in your good books by defending you.That being said if Cleb pushed you a little further over your up-in-arms reaction (as in voting you to be lynched) I would probably have indeed defended you (or indeed defend you), because they're probably coming from a place where the general playerbase is too experienced for reliance on meta, but here your meta is somewhat reliable: you get overly emotional over things, you know you need to work on it, and I was pushing you to make sure you don't behave emotionally and lead town into a derail. Still do. Although this could become a slight derail.

I see that now, after the last game, you did read toad/ness like a book, so I think your points are still worth noting even if honestly they really don't seem to have much backing them up.

I however, don't really seem to understand Dad's urgency and intense pressure on Aron, as you said, he comes across inexperienced, and the majority of his posts so far have read as inexperienced town to me, with possibly the exception of the constant excuses.

I don't wanna tunnel aron either, but aron is the scummiest player to me rn. I am waiting for them to better explain themselves and put up their reads before making a final say. Dad's confidence in voting for aron right now when is either gutsy town (which I've been many times before) or he's maf trying to bluesnipe an inexperienced player. I'm wary of two main issues rn:

-the possibility that aron is inexperienced town and lowkey panicking a la Chick
-the possibility that dad and/or dolby are trying to get on my good side, and dad's tunnelling of aron, while 100% warranted, is also worrying. Reminder that dad exhibited similar tunneling behavior vs. dolby, and dad ended up being the scum in that interaction.

It's not that delicate of a balance lmao. Good god are you coming off as very worried over how you appear to town. And you're continuing to do it through excuse making. Only this time you aren't trying to excuse your activity through stating your irl reasons but instead you're excusing yourself from posting reads you claimed to have because somebody is pressuring you to spill them. And given it's the first 24 hours, I doubt somebody would criticize your reads as not being compelling enough when most people are still gathering their first impressions themselves. I'm gonna go ahead and vote you for now. You've had enough time.

I understand that but there is just something that doesn't feel right, I'm thinking of the possibilities that best suit why I feel this way. It's probably just a gut feeling more than anything logical but I'm still thinking about it.

I find it weird these two have used almost the same language as a comment on what Dad is trying to achieve with them personally. Surely if that was Dad's intention as mafia he'd be trying to get on town's good side as a whole, not a personal thing? The similarities in the posts above just strike me as two people who've been having a conversation, as they never mentioned each other, only said similar things.

Alright so my original plan was to post reads on everyone that's been posting but with my apparent time constraints that no longer seems like the greatest idea. so I'll give a couple now and make another more detailed post tonight or tomorrow.

Dad: I am having a hell of a time trying to read this guy. He's been putting a lot of pressure on me but I honestly think it makes sense to see what happens when I'm put on the spot and if I cave considering I'm inexperienced. The fact that he's putting so much pressure on me kinda gives me an instant kneejerk reaction but putting aside personal feelings and looking at the facts I think he's genuinely trying to help. I'll give him a very minor town lean for now.

Dolby: Dolby's been contributing per the usual but I've gotten a few bad vibes from him. his instant attack on Karen as soon as the game started over something that was very obviously a joke gave me a kinda bad taste. I'm going to leave him as neutral for now and am definitely looking into him more.

Zendel: Zendel's been very defensive since the start but then again so have I. I've been trying to read into them to try and understand if it was being justly angry at being accused or being defensive as a cover-up but I'm not sure enough to lean one way or the other.

These aren't really reads so much as they're just me speculating since two of them are neutral but these are the impressions I have so far.

It's only tunneling when you're completely blind to looking at anyone else. You can still back someone into a corner and try and put pressure on them and still pay attention to other people. I'm standing by my impression that you are my most solid townread because I need to have some if I'm going to build reads on other people based on how they act towards my townread. Which is actually what I was doing with Dolby when I made that heel-turn post that suddenly defended you after questioning you, so I'm kinda confused at why people are reading a potential Dad/Dolby team here.
